so we're supposed to believe you listened to an hour long podcast of a band you don't like and there just happened to be a mention of die spitz, and you had no prior knowledge of that fact. sure thing.

When did I say I didn't like Pearl Jam? Other than that, yes, I listen to those kinds of interviews all the time. I'm fascinated by back stories of successful people.

Jeff Ament always comes off so likable in these kind of interviews. This was a fun listen.

He's not a meathead, either. Smart guy.

did a music tour in seattle last week and the black dog forge rehearsal space was one of the stops. pj had the blacksmith make some sculptures for the riot act cover. one of them is still above the window. this was their original rehearsal space. didn't know about the sculpture, thought that was cool.

Maybe?

Oh, she walks slowly, across a young man's room
She said I'm ready...for you
I can't remember anything to this very day
'Cept the look, the look...
Oh, you know where, now I can't see, I just stare...

here's the story from ed. i remember an old article where he acknowledged the incestual storyline but made clear it was fictional and part of the trilogy with once and footsteps.

Oh I’m sure you’re right. I never really looked up PJs lyrics for some reason.

Same.

It’s “the look, oh, you know where.” It refers to the young man looking between her legs. Mom sees son and that he looks like his dad (her old love) used to. It is definitely about incest as Ed has explained.

I'm thinking 'She said I'm ready...for you" is a bit more to the point.

First time I ever saw him was on the live McCartney video from 2002.

He was fantastic.
