Yup. Good representative. Grew up in a Socialist house hold where her parents wealth and resources were redistributed to her. Has never held a real job or been financially independent.

Now wants to spread the joys of the socialism she was raised on by having the rest of the country live off her parents too (ie the government )

Avoiding responsibility, what’s not to love.

Rock the vote!

Hell yeah, brother!

Neither one of you read the study did you? Just ran with Bernie tweet? LOL, you DSAs crack me up.

Page 18: At the same time, more generous healthcare insurance would be provided to everyone at the expense of healthcare providers, who would face reimbursements substantially below their service costs. As noted previously, whether providers could sustain such losses and remain in operation, and how those who continue operations would adapt to such dramatic payment reductions, are critically important questions. While these estimates show little net change in NHE, the same cannot be said of the projected effects on the federal budget. Table 2 includes an estimate for the net increase in federal health budget commitments of $32.6 trillion from 2022 through 2031, which, by itself, is more than all federal individual and corporate income taxes projected to be collected during that 46 Again, the assumption of public financing is retained throughout this study pursuant to the language of the M4A bill text. International experience has been that private financing often retains a substantial role. See Thomson, Foubister, and Mossialos, Financing Healthcare in the European Union. 19 time period.47

So in summation the cost stays below what it is today as long as we work healthcare providers i.e. the doctors offices at a loss. I'm sure the best and brightest are going to line up to go to school for another 12 years on average AFTER high school working at a minimum of 80 hours/week to become doctors once they find out that they'll be paid roughly at the same wage as someone who graduated high school.

Its a good thing neither the two of you, nor your messiahs who have a difficult time putting 1 and 1 together are in power. So uh, back to square one again. The costs are going to be what you stated fondren, about 10 times what they are today.

It's what's coming and there's not much you can do about it.

I just upended your "analysis" and called bullshit on what you claimed based on some left wing propaganda website who also did not do their homework and read the study they were quoting. And this is your response? Haha.

You should've stuck to what fondren is doing at this moment. Hiding in anonymity for hitching his wagon to your retarded links.

BTW, its not coming, because we are in power and we will be in power. And by we, I mean sane people who can do basic math.

Just for good measure, I'll throw in that I dislike Trump as much as you do. But I dislike freeloading Bernie and Bernie wannabes just as much.

No. Single payer is what's going to happen. It's not if but when and you know it.

I agree, but the importance of passing the ACA cannot be overstated. Access to health care is a right now. The next step is making health care itself a right. That's where we're going.

Do you mean Obama should have pushed for it more? Or that congress should have delivered him a public option?

Alternatively, he could have also tried to get ahead of the GOP messaging on healthcare. The GOP built their current dominance of politics on a simple anti-ACA message.

Anyone advocating for socialism the democratic version or Leninist is fucked in the head. The Journal just this week has a
story about how the best, brightest and wealthiest are leaving Brazil because of
the out of control violence and bankrupt government that is weighed down by public pensions sending that country down the toilet.
Look at what socialists have done to Venezuela taking one of the wealthiest countries in South America to one of the poorest. Don’t you think Venezuelans would rather have a situation like México with concentrated wealth and a good number of middle and upper class or a completely bankrupt nation that theirs has become. Doing whatever it takes to prevent socialists like Ocasio-Cortez and Sanders from gaining power is fine by me. I would vote for Trump 100 out of 100 times to prevent people like those 2 with their anti-American values from ever gaining power. That’s why I love Trump’s Supreme Court picks and I have no problem with voter suppression efforts with photo ID laws to keep poors and as many idiots swayed by socialism from voting.

Yes by all means advocate for more radical left leaning candidates for office, sounds like a winning game plan.  I mean really, it's what America was built on. Open borders, illegal immigrants voting, wealth redistribution...arresting people who have straws in their Cokes instead of in their coke.

100% truth. The Democrat establishment is as terrified of AOC and the movement she represents as anyone else. More terrified, perhaps. Clinton and her band of corporate whores are in the crosshairs as much as our racist piece of shit president.

He's probably going to love it, actually.

He will enjoy a fairer, freer, and more equal nation AND he'll get to freely hate those in power without having to be a pot-shotting coward who doesn't have to face the absolute intellectual and moral bankruptcy of his political philosophy. Like rural conservatives who benefit near-endlessly from the largesse of the giant cities they love to hate.

This is pretty funny. The hardcore pro-Israel Jews already vote Republican. The Democratic Jews aren't racist shitbags that hate Arab Muslims.

On the backs of the middle class. Largest tax increase for them in decades.

Like all of your fantasies you try to tell us will come true by taxing the 1% more. Flat out lies.

Socialism will create two classes as we already see in California. It’s the 1% and the rest are poors who are SLAVES to the government and beg for a better handout. Your policies destroy the middle class and America. Stop raping the middle class. MAGA.

The people told you once in 2014, they will tell you again soon, no matter what you read in your moms basement.

Voter suppression is as American as apple pie and has been part of our history from the very beginning of our country. The franchise was limited to certain classes of property owners from the start of the republic and it slowly expanded from there. Democracy is great provided the right type of people are voting. That’s what you’d hear from the majority, most likely, if you injected truth serum into partisans.

Don’t think that only the evil Republicans are trying to mold the electorate to serve their interests. Leftists wanting to eliminate the electoral college are wanting to neuter the power of flyover country voters. I am a fan of being honest about one’s intentions. Instead of trying to pass off these voter ID laws as “protecting the integrity” of elections, I’m honest that I don’t have a problem with trying to limit the voting power of a potential socialist block in this country. The left wants to do the same with the “deplorables” and would love it if Presidential candidates were camped out on the coasts the entire election cycle without paying any attention to the rest of the country. It would be nice if both sides would be honest about trying to game the system as it has been done since the beginning.

Why would it be on top of what we already spend? It replaces SS, Medicare, and welfare spending outright. We can afford all of it, although UBI negates the need for some of the DSA platform. The issue is really that you dont want it.

I want it. But I don’t trust the government to make it happen or manage it properly.

HEY HEY HEY !!!!  Can we keep the damned sports out of the CR here !!!    Analogies or not ......

Well, there's a shit-ton of truth in that. We're tribal creatures, and we justify the behavior of the tribe over anything else.

Identifying with a sports team is very useful for those who want to be intellectually honest, because by doing so you've done two things:

  1. You can actually look at Important Things™ (like religion and politics) without the inherent bias that comes from identifying with a side, and
  2. By being e.g. a Longhorn, you've identified with a tribe with heterogeneous beliefs in the Important Things™, and will be exposed to alternative points of view in an environment where you can feel "safe" in disagreeing, because you know deep down that we can all agree that OU fucking sucks.

This only works, however, if you don't fuck it up by also self-identifying as one of the Important Things™' sports teams, such as the "Democrats" or the "Republicans," or the "Evangelicals" or "Catholics." Once you've done that, you defeat the whole purpose of being a sports fan, and might as well be an aggy.

And by the way, both pure socialism and pure capitalism are stupid ideas, and neither of them can exist under authoritarian regimes (which is what Trump prizes and wants us to become). Capitalism depends on regulation in the same way that social systems can't exist as anarchy; social services depend on the government being held accountable by both private organizations and individuals. Both need accountability and both are necessary.

Which is why pretty much every liberal government has some combination of the two.
