Really depressing that college republicans are supporting Trump.  What kind of brain dead goon between the ages of 18-22 would support that fucktard?  At least in my day the Reagan Revolution was based on guys like Milton Friedman and Fred Hayak.  I don't spend much time on campus but I assume there might be some frat rat douchebags who support Trump, but not the kind of nerds who become college Republicans.

"No one forced him"?  It sounds like you don't understand how 'orders' work in our military.  Unless they are a flagrant violation of the mission and/or war crimes, he has to travel to where his commanding officers tell him to go.  You would be an absolute delight on a camping trip.

No one forced him to sign up and join the seals.  Crenshaw is a bigoted asshole and I don’t have any sympathy for what happened to him. I wonder how many people he killed, in their own homeland, during his time in the Navy.

I think endorsing the assertion that CAIR is a terrorist organization pretty clearly makes you a bigot.  He may not be at Johnny Sack’s level of outright, bloodthirsty hatred, but that’s not acceptable.

I didn't see that, when I looked for their names together. I did see him going after Omar for her statement that 'some people who did something,' to describe 9/11

I don’t know a lot about CAIR but aren’t they pretty clearly connected to HAMAS and wouldn’t that make them a terrorist organization by default? I see some old reports where they were listed as terrorist organization by UAE and others.  Regardless, not the topic here.

AOC is an idiot who claimed an injured veteran who fought overseas as a result of terrorism here in the US didn’t do enough to combat terrorism, and your response is meh, we shouldn’t have been there and he didn’t have to. Just perfect.

Oh no, Crenshaw had the audacity to not "cosponsor" a bill for a 9/11 victims fund that 1)already has 200 plus cosponsors 2)  has not been voted on yet and will almost surely pass unanimously or close to it 3) and that he will surely vote for.  He clearly doesn't care about 9/11 and has no right to speak about terrorism.

This lady has virtue signalling and shaming down to an art.

She said he isn't doing enough to fight the terrorism that actually occurs today or enough to help the actual victims of terrorism. He served. But that doesn't make her wrong. Also, conveniently you are ignoring her primary point regarding him misrepresenting Ilhan's statement.

So he has to serve the rest of his life in the army fighting with one eye to be able to point out that a member of the Us Congress should not be belittling victims and their families of a terror attack?

He’s done more than enough, but if we want to go down that route, IMO, one of the first step in protecting US against terrorism on our soil should be controlling who and what comes in and out of our country via strengthened border security.  I believe he was supportive of that, unlike AOC and her buddies.

In regards to her comment about “some people did something”, this wasn’t a case of cutting the transcript short like CNN and other outlets did with the MS-13 animals comment. She clearly painted the formation of CAIR as a result of 9/11 (incorrectly, I might add) and referred to it in those words. Where did he misrepresent her comment?

Was Crenshaw actually fighting terrorism?

Anyone worried about actually combating terrorist violence against US citizens would be in active battle against white supremacists and right-wing militants inside the borders.

But Crenshaw isn't worried about white terrorists. He's a grandstanding moron.

How true is this?

Honestly I don't know.

And how did 2017 and 2016 look?

https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2019/01/homegrown-terrorists-2018-were-almost-all-right-wing/581284/

On Wednesday, the Anti-Defamation League released a report finding that attackers with ties to right-wing extremist movements killed at least 50 people in 2018. That was close to the total number of Americans killed by domestic extremists, meaning that the far right had an almost absolute monopoly on lethal terrorism in the United States last year. That monopoly would be total if, in one case, the perpetrator had not “switched from white supremacist to radical Islamist beliefs prior to committing the murder.”

From 2009 through 2018, right-wing extremists accounted for 73 percent of such killings, according to the ADL, compared with 23 percent for Islamists and 3 percent for left-wing extremists. In other words, most terrorist attacks in the United States, and most deaths from terrorist attacks, are caused by white extremists.

So having connections to terrorist organizations makes that organization a terrorist organization by default?

Does this apply to nation states?

Asking for Israel.

lol UAE did that for political reasons (they don't like democratic Muslim associations like CAIR) and probably to stir up hatred among American rightwing psychopaths.  The only people in this country who actually believe CAIR is a terrorist organization are the same people who habitually visit rightwing blogs hawking pork-laced bullets.

Allegedly.

"However, further investigation by journalists and law enforcement revealed that Cruz was, in fact, sympathetic to white supremacist ideology. Cruz belonged to a private Instagram group where he and others posted hundreds of racist comments, memes and videos. Cruz’s classmates and acquaintances reported his bigoted remarks against African-Americans, LGBTQ people and Jews. Cruz allegedly claimed that Jews wanted to destroy the world and said he wished 'all the Jews were dead.' Cruz also allegedly said his birth mother was Jewish and he was glad he never met her."

Yes, because there are literally thousands of ISIS operatives flooding the US through our southern border every day.

Small point.  While I didn't listen to the whole speech, I'm not really sure what the outrage was about the "some people did something".

People often speak of 911 as "911" without editorializing, because we all know what it was.  That being said, I don't follow Omar closely, so if there are actually quotes where she sympathizes with the terrorists actions, that seems to me something that would be worth criticizing.

This just seems like overkill in the media age all around.

His job is different now, and the question is whether in his current role he his combating the terrorism that actual exists in the United States. And the vast majority of that isn't affected by "who and what comes in an out of our country" because it is entirely homegrown. And, it has more to do with right wing hate groups than any sort of foreign adversary.

As to Ilhan's comment, he misrepresented it when he removed all context from it. She wasn't dismissing the horribleness or importance of the event. She was referencing it in a different context.

CAIR is an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood. They should be listed as a terrorist affiliated  organization and placed on the OFAC list. They have tried to raise money for Hamas in the past. They should not be allowed to operate in this country. I loved the cover my man Sohrab Ahmari put out on the New York Post yesterday. I also love how much of an idiot Ilhan Omar is  by giving us all the ammunition we need to sink the most anti-American member of Congress in modern history. Rashida Tlaib is smarter and has not gotten herself in trouble in as much trouble as 🧕 has but we’ll get her too. Those of us on the right will do whatever it takes to neuter them both.

Also you aren't really making sense.

Therein lies the problem.  None of these misunderstandings would occur if people would just let their political rivals go do their speeches without parsing every fucking word.  Or more precisely, if they would stop harassing people just because their religion, skin color and head dress offend them.

She will get primaried. Even liberal Democrat Jews have begun to disavow her, the only ones who haven’t are self-hating ones like Peter Beinart. Liberal Jews who find a way and reason to continue support this woman are the modern day Erev Rav.

Liberal Jews understand that people can be critical of Israel without being anti-semitic.  In fact, many liberal Jews, like Beinart, are fairly critical of Israel themselves.  You are actually being anti-semitic by claiming that Jews like Beinart are "self-hating" or that they must support Israel in its occupation of the West Bank and its apartheid.

Also, you don't really understand how representative government works.  There's a reason that Omar's district has elected 2 Muslims in a row.  If anyone is going to primary her, it will be Christian and Muslim voters that make it happen.

Holy crap. Wow. I mean, I'm use to there being at least something in the video clip that, if you squint and squirt hot sauce in the other eye, could sort of support the claim or caption. There is literally nothing in that one but "scary music."

Seriously, if Icono presented that in court, there is a non-negligible chance it would result in disbarment.
