Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

A Green New Deal. Let me guess, tax the shit out of oil and gas companies with the desired effect of destroying the economies of Texas and other producing states. Tucker’s book did a great job eviscerating the claims of imminent destruction of the earth. We are supposed to be stewards of the world that God has given us and we should do what we can to stave off pollution. Advocating for a Green New Deal with a messianic zeal that was meant for worshiping God.

It's this. The party made her out to be super candidate, when in fact her grasp of civics leaves a bit to be desired.  She's part of the typical young mob mentality clambering for change, but not even understanding what those changes mean or how they can even be implemented.

...Even if you tried you couldn't be more wrong about this. Do you even stop to think about the thoughts you communicate to other people? The party didn't want her, she primaried a member of the party leadership. Hell, Crowley had a great shot at succeeding Pelosi as speaker. Ocasio-Cortez got a lot of coverage because she won a huge upset in a New York district against a party boss. I honestly can't believe this needs to be pointed out, but beating a party boss is not something any party tends to be in favor of.

the messiah was a persian man named cyrus.  he already came and put the jews back in jerusalem.  that was 2600 year ago. as the board's resident persian, you probably should have known that already.

Yes, the desired effect is to destroy the economy of Texas. Pelosi and Schumer sit in room maniacally laughing about the coming destruction of the Texas economy.

Do you even think about how fucking stupid you sound?

Crazy.  I had no idea Tucker Carlson moonlighted as a climate scientist when not vomiting nonsense on TV.  I didn't even realize he had a scientific background.  Oh, wait, you mean he doesn't?  So his opinion is completely worthless on the topic.  Not even worth hearing.

And before you come back with "What's Cortez and Pelosi's credentials?"  The answer is also none, whatsoever.  However, they listen to the consensus of scientists who know what they're talking about rather than corporate and oil lobbyists trying to save a buck by putting the planet in peril.

Oh, they're definitely different. One sucks dicks to pay for drugs and tailored NFL jerseys. The other one just sucks dicks for the fun of it (the money is an added bonus).

Fair warning.  This kind of blatant homophobia is going to get all your virtue points confiscated at the DSA hall.

This is what millennials identify with btw, not ignoring what 97% of scientists agree on. Climate change is going to cost trillions of dollars if it isn't addressed immediately, particularly in the country that is the second biggest (at least last I checked) emitter of greenhouse gases.

If it's going to cost trillions of dollars, that means some corporations are going to make trillions of dollars.  No one is doing shit to stop that train.

Trump is the one calling, no... pleading for lower oil prices.  That will do wonders for the TX economy.

1) You may not realize this, but subsidizing oils and gas through uncaptured external cost prevents price discovery. It’s a form of socialism and the fundamental cause of environmental disaster in the Soviet Union, because in a system with no private ownership of capital, there’s no such thing as “external cost”.

2) Tucker Carlson’s book did a great job of separating the gullible from their money. Not much else.

3) speaking as a fellow Episcopalian, the religious insults are unbecoming and demeaning of our mutual faith.

No instead we have him undermining the 1st amendment, undermining the rule of law, undermining faith in our elections, and undermining our relationships with our closest allies. But thank god about that Clinton foundation, we dodged a bullet there
