Does Carolina take a QB and give up on Young? He's still on his rookie deal so trading him would be cheap cap-wise.

Cleveland isn't taking a QB - they can't get rid of Watson until after next year at the earliest unless they can get some sucker to take him in a trade.

And to make it Shadeur brings along potentially the worst helicopter parent in the history of the NFL.

To drop Quinn completely after a rocky start throwing (after a month recovering from an injury that affects throwing) is pretty dumb. A good game Saturday and he's right back up there.

It's also possible that being injured again contributed to that rather than his performance. The biggest question mark for Quinn is his inability to stay healthy. From that perspective it's reasonable to leave him out of first round mocks.

Sure about that? They are stuck with Watson (or at least his salary), but if they land top 5 in the draft and there’s a QB they like (on a rookie contract), you think they’d pass? An OT, WR, DL isn’t going to fix their team and Watson. Trading out helps them less short term and sets them up to maybe be in a position to draft a QB next year. Why chance that if there’s a QB they like on the board in 2025?

I didn’t catch the edit time limit to add the recency bias on Watson: in 2024, he is passing at 61%, 5 TD, 3 INT, 31 sacks, 148 yards rushing as the team sits at 1-5.

In 3 seasons with Cleveland, he’s played 18 games, passed 60%, 19 TD, 12 INT, 68 sacks and the Browns went 9-8 in his starts. I would move on if I were the Browns. The pitchforks and torches are waiting.

I should clarify - they aren't taking a QB in the first round and almost certainly not with the first overall pick IMHO. I also don't think anyone will take a QB 1/1 this year unless it's Carolina.

Watson's contract is a great tanking mechanism since they are stuck with him for this year and next (barring injury). Trade away the older guys for draft picks and rebuild. Then launch Deshaun after 2025 and take the dead money hit.

I agree with the recency bias on QBs

I think Carolina views Young as sunk cost and wouldn't be surprised if they look to trade him away for whatever they can get. Cleveland might have to move on from Watson as the starter regardless of the contract, he's been playing historically bad

Shedeur has been playing better recently. I think the top six QBs can go in pretty much any order, so I'm not going to quibble with how they're ranked at this point in the draft

I could any of Cleveland, Carolina, Las Vegas, Tennessee, and NYG taking one at 1.1, and I could see LAR and Miami taking one in the top ten as QBs to groom

I don't think there's any question the Cleveland front office wants to move on from Watson - it's that Haslam won't let them. So if they are picking first it would require Haslam's blessing to take a QB.

Carolina makes perfect sense to move on from Young and he's still on his rookie deal and they are likely to be picking first overall. They're horrible.

As for the others - the only reason I don't think they take a QB at 1.1 is because none will be there and I doubt any of them trade up to the spot.

I don't think there's any question that someone like the Giants are taking a QB for example but why trade up to the top spot and pay a premium? Nobody wants to give up a king's ransom like Carolina and get burned.

Another team you didn't list that might make a play for a QB in the first round is the Steelers - both Fields and Wilson are gone after this year.

I understand all of this, and I think Watson having the worst QB'ing season in decades will lead to Haslam blessing it

Mel Kiper updates Big Board Top 25 player rankings for 2025 NFL Draft after Week 9

by:Andrew Graham•10/31/24

1. CB/WR Travis Hunter, Colorado

Hunter remains the top talent in college football and has gotten back on track after being slowed by an injury. He’ll keep a stranglehold on the top spot barring an unexpected fall off.

Perhaps most impressive about Hunter is that he’s been an ironman playing both ways. He’s played more than 800 snaps in eight games.

2. CB Will Johnson, Michigan

Johnson has been quiet of late as he’s mostly been held out with a lower body injury. But when he’s healthy, he’s arguably the top cover corner in the class and a top player.

Johnson has plus size and length at the position and plenty of ball production in his college career. He’s also a plus run defender on the outside.

3. DE Abdul Carter, Penn State

Carter has made a full-time move to rushing off the edge this season and it’s paid off. His blend of length, size and athleticism lends itself to beating tackles in his way of choosing.

With just four sacks on the year, Carter’s out and out production could probably be better. But he’s been thoroughly impactful and can make a big splash against Ohio State on Saturday.

4. DE Mykel Williams, Georgia

Williams has come back from an early-season ankle injury and looked the part of a top edge rusher in the class. And coming into college as a top recruit with elite physical traits, Williams was always on course to be in this conversation.

His stats have been lagging as he’s played fewer games. But his explosion and power off the edge are undeniable.

5. DT Mason Graham, Michigan

Graham plays the defensive tackle position with an elite blend of technique, both with his hands and footwork, and plenty of quickness and brute force. And it’s made the Wolverines defender a premiere talent in the 2025 class, should he declare early.

And Graham will be tantalizing for NFL teams as he can provide the coveted interior pass rush without sacrificing as a run defender. There just aren’t many players who can be as consistently disruptive in the middle of the line like Graham.

6. OT Kelvin Banks, Texas

In a league where teams are betting on traits more and more, Banks fits the bill. But his production stacks up brilliantly, too.

By years end, he’ll have started more than 40 games at Texas. And even with that long track record, you can count the sacks Banks has given up in his career on one hand, keeping him firmly in the Top 10 of Kiper’s Big Board.

7. DE Nic Scourton, Texas A&M

Scourton has been a plus-addition for the Aggies front during his first season in College Station, where he’s from. And the transfer edge defender is equally as effective crushing pockets as he is boxing in runners.

Scourton plays from the edge with a lot of power and length, walking tackles back and setting firm edges. He might not have the elite get-off and bend of other pass rushers, but 12.5 tackles for loss and five sacks speaks for itself.

8. S Malaki Starks, Georgia

Starks is a ballhawk and has been a consistent force on the backend of Georgia’s defense basically since he arrived on campus as a freshman. And he’s only gotten better year to year.

And along with his top-shelf ball skills, Starks brings plenty more to the table. He’s got the length, bulk and willingness to come down as a run defender and rarely misses tackles.

9. RB Ashton Jeanty, Boise State

Jeanty is the Heisman front runner for many and though he’s perhaps likely to slip out of the Top 10 come draft night, the talent and production is undeniable. That’s what tends to happen when you’re on a pace that only the likes of Barry Sanders have been on.

And though Jeanty might not break some of those absurd single-season marks, he’s been eye-wateringly productive. And with speed, power, pass catching ability and comfort in pass protection, Jeanty is the total package NFL teams want at running back.

10. OLB Jalon Walker, Georgia

Walker burst onto the scene with a massive showing against Texas. In just the first half of that game, he showed elite quickness and closing speed, picking up a trio of sacks.

And having played both off the ball and now off the edge, Walker’s versatility will be intriguing for NFL teams. And as production starts to catch up with the physical abilities, Walker could climb some more.

Players Nos. 11 through 25

11. QB Shedeur Sanders, Colorado
12. QB Cam Ward, Miami
13. WR Tetairoa McMillan, Arizona
14. OLB James Pearce Jr., Tennessee
15. DT Kenneth Grant, Michigan (+3)
16. OT Aireontae Ersery, Minnesota (+3)
17. DT Walter Nolen, Ole Miss (-1)
18. WR Luther Burden, Missouri (-1)
19. OT Will Campbell, LSU (-4)
20. CB Shavon Revel, East Carolina
21. CB Benjamin Morrison, Notre Dame
22. TE Tyler Warren, Penn State
23. OT Josh Simmons, Ohio State
24. TE Colston Loveland, Michigan
25. S Nick Emmanwori, South Carolina

And with a month of the college football season still to go, there’s plenty more movement to come in Kiper’s Big Board.

NFL Reveals Deadlines to Declare for 2025 Draft with 'Championship' Rule Change

The NFL has revealed its special eligibility rules and deadlines to declare for the 2025 NFL draft, with Monday, Jan. 6 serving as a soft deadline for special eligibility, Wednesday, Jan. 15 operating as the traditional hard deadline and a special "championship" deadline set for Friday, Jan. 24, specifically for players for the two teams in the FBS Championship Game.

Additionally, the opt-out deadline to remove a player from draft consideration is Friday, Feb. 7.

Tom Pelissero of NFL Network broke down more of the details and announcements from Tuesday:

NFL draft-eligibility rules state that a player "must have been out of high school for at least three years and must have used up their college eligibility before the start of the next college football season. Underclassmen and players who have graduated before using all their college eligibility may request the league's approval to enter the draft early."

Additionally, a player is only eligible to be drafted in the year following the conclusion of their college eligibility.

Once a player is deemed eligible, the pre-draft process begins, which can include invitations to a trio of All-Star Games (East-West Shrine Bowl, HBCU Legacy Bowl, Senior Bowl), participation in the NFL Scouting Combine, pro days and private workouts.

And, of course, mock drafts, big boards and rumors as far as the eye can see.

As for the NFL's revised calendar for requesting special eligibility and new "championship" deadline, that was put in place due to the expanded College Football Playoff, which now will feature 12 teams and be spread out over an entire month, starting on Friday, Dec. 20 and concluding on Monday, Jan. 20.

2025 NFL Draft: Mel Kiper makes big changes to Top 10 QB rankings after Week 10 of college football

by:Barkley Truax•about 17 hours ago

Making a slight change from his rankings after Week 9, here’s how Kiper’s rankings shaped up with only a handful of weeks left in the regular season.

1. Shedeur Sanders, Colorado

Shedeur Sanders has been atop mock drafts all season when it comes to being the first quarterback taken in April’s draft. While Colorado was idle in Week 10, his performance against Cincinnati in Week 9 saw Sanders complete 25 of his 30 passes for 323 yards and scored two touchdowns through the air and another one on the ground.

That performance reflects the entire body of work he’s put together this season. One of the most accurate passers in the country, Sanders has completed 73.3% (220 of 300) of his passes this season for a total of 2,591 yards, 21 touchdowns and six interceptions. He’s added three additional scores on the ground as well.

2. Cam Ward, Miami

Through 10 weeks, Cam Ward leads the country with 29 passing touchdowns in addition to 3,146 yards and only six interceptions. He also has his Miami Hurricanes off to a 9-0 start with a good chance to end the regular season undefeated and play for an ACC title.

Ward debated the option of turning pro after his last season at Washington State. He elected to make the transfer to Mario Cristobal’s program and it appears to be paying off for him heading into the final stages of the regular season.

3. Jalen Milroe, Alabama

Few quarterbacks impact the game as much as Jalen Milroe does for Alabama. A true dual-threat quarterback, Milroe has almost split his 25 touchdowns this season right down the middle. He leads the Crimson Tide with 12 rushing touchdowns while his other 13 come through the air.

He has over 2,000 yards of offensive this season thanks to his abilities, and NFL teams are certainly taking notice. If he can help lead his team to the College Football Playoff, he may be able to close the gap between him and Sanders and Ward on NFL team’s draft boards.

4. Garrett Nussmeier, LSU (+3)

Garrett Nussemeier was ranked No. 9 on Mel Kiper’s list after Week 8 and continues to rise at a rate faster than any other quarterback on this list. While the Tigers haven’t been perfect record-wise over that span, Nussmeier appears to have impressed Kiper enough to put him in the top four.

One quality that works in his favor is the fact that he sat and waited his turn behind Jayden Daniels instead of entering the transfer portal. Nussmeier has largely backed his ranking up on the field as well, throwing for 2,627 yards, 20 touchdowns and nine interceptions this season.

5. Quinn Ewers, Texas

Quinn Ewers won’t have the numbers to back it up this season thanks to him missing some time with injury this season, but Ewers is a proven winner as the Longhorns’ quarterback. This season he has 1,389 passing yards and 14 touchdowns.

However, Texas has continued to be one of the premier teams in college football over the last two seasons, and he’s been shooting up draft boards ever since. Depending how he can finish up what is expected to be his final season in Austin, there may be room for him to move up on some team’s boards at the end of the draft cycle.

6. Carson Beck, Georgia (-2)

Carson Beck did not help himself when he threw three interceptions during Georgia’s win against Florida over the weekend. While it didn’t result in the Bulldogs losing its status as a CFP contender, it did drop him two spots from where he was on Kiper’s list one week ago.

The concerning part is that this isn’t a one-off incident. In fact, it’s the third time Beck has throw three interceptions in a single game this season, and has thrown eight combined in Georgia’s last three games. He has 11 on the season, but appears to have done enough elsewhere on the stat sheet to remain in favor with Kiper and other draft analysts.

7. Drew Allar, Penn State (-1)

Penn State’s perfect season may have ended, but Drew Allar is still a top 10 draft eligible quarterback heading into Week 11. However, like Beck, his ranking suffers from his most recent performance.

Allar completed 12 passes for 146 yards and failed to throw a touchdown pass in the Nittany Lions’ most important regular season game of the season, and they came up short. However, four unranked opponents are left on the Nittany Lions’ schedule in the regular season — the perfect opportunity to help put him back on the radar as a top quarterback option for NFL teams in April.

8. Kurtis Rourke, Indiana

In the same way that Indiana has played itself into College Football Playoff contention, Hoosiers quarterback Kurtis Rourke has played himself into potentially being one of the first 10 quarterbacks taken off the board in April.

Leading IU to an undefeated season through 10 weeks this year, he’s thrown for 2,204 yards and 19 touchdowns. His 91.6 QBR ranks No. 2 in the country behind Cam Ward.

9. Jaxson Dart, Ole Miss

Jaxson Dart has conducted one of the most potent offenses in football since taking over as Ole Miss’ starting quarterback in 2022. He also has one of the most impressive stat lines in the country and on track to record career-high numbers before the end of the regular season.

Boasting a career-high 71.7% completion percentage, Dart has thrown for 3,210 yards and 21 touchdowns compared to three interceptions. He has a 44-8 touchdown-to-interception ratio over the past two years and has also thrown for over 10,000 yards in his career.

10. Dillon Gabriel, Oregon

Dillon Gabriel is new to the list this week, replacing Ohio State‘s Will Howard at No. 10 as the Buckeyes signal caller did not make the list after Week 10.

Through 10 weeks, he’s helped deliver Oregon a No. 1 overall ranking in the initial College Football Playoff Top 25 and has the Ducks undefeated with the hopes of winning a national title before he’s off to the NFL. If he can add a championship to his resume, he’ll be even more attractive to NFL teams heading into the pre draft process.

Someone to watch for who might eventually be viewed as one of the top defensive prospects in the draft is Kentucky DL Deone Walker. He's 6'6, 340, athletic, and lines up all over the place and causes hell. Watch the Georgia game.

I'm surprised by the Deone Walker fall. When I watched him early in the season he was a 6'6 athletic monster who they moved up and down the line to create matchup advantages, and he looked like a Chris Jones starter kit. I guess the tape has just been bad?

Luther Burden at 10 makes absolutely no sense to me. He’s going to test well, and he’s extremely good with the ball in his hands, but he’s not a good WR. He doesn’t seem to separate much against good CBs because he’s not a good route runner, and it’s too hard to scheme guys consistently in the open field to use a top 10 pick on him.

He got bottled up last year against good defenses. Against teams with NFL talent on defense (Kentucky, UGA, Tenn, and tOSU) last year, he averaged 3 catches for 27 yards. In the other 9 games he averaged 8 for 123, which is great but not nearly as meaningful when projecting to the NFL.

Loveland 13 spots ahead of Warren also seems off. Warren is bigger and a better athlete. I get Loveland is very good, but I don’t see the ceiling for him to be 13th and ahead of Warren.

So where is Barron gonna get drafted?  Not sure what more you want in a db.  He's good in coverage, a really good tackler and has a nose for the ball.  I don't really ever remember seeing a predicted round for him.

So where is Barron gonna get drafted?  Not sure what more you want in a db.  He's good in coverage, a really good tackler and has a nose for the ball.  I don't really ever remember seeing a predicted round for him.

I'm guessing second around, maybe third

Travis Hunter isn't the best CB or the best WR in this cycle. Why would anyone draft him in the top 10 with his frail frame and overuse heading into the league?

If he signs off on focusing on CB, I think he's worth a top ten pick. If he's stuck on wanting to play both ways, then pass. If he wants to focus on WR, I'd probably look at him later in the first round.

He's a freaky athlete with excellent cornerback instincts and skills. He gets beat from time to time, but he also frequently makes game changing plays

some draft dude:

OT Kelvin Banks: 11

OT Cam Williams: 22

WR Isaiah Bond: 23

CB Jahdae Barron: 38

TE Gunnar Helm: 55

QB Quinn Ewers: 119

C Jake Majors: 162

S Michael Taaffe: 176

S Andrew Mukuba: 188

LB David Gbenda: 247

DLine hasn’t been done yet- you would have to say Collins, Sorrell are guaranteed. Broughton is highly probable.

Hayden Connor could get some late round love as a senior that is definitely moving on

DJ Campbell, Trey Moore, Jaydon Blue and Matthew Golden would all get drafted late I would think and should come back.
Taafe seems like he should come back. Even if he’s draft able this year it would be late. Be the hometown hero and captain of the defense next year and collect NIL.

If the Rams take Beck in first round they are absolute morons. He blows.

Quinn Ewers would be almost undraftable to me bc I just don’t think he’s durable enough to make it through the nfl season. I’d take him 100 times out of 100 over Beck.

I wouldn't take either one.  Beck is a senior and still makes too many dumb throws.  Any team that needs a qb in this draft is a screwed.  It's an ever bigger crap shoot than normal.

I can’t believe Beck is talked about still as a high draft pick. He’s shown nothing but reasons not to draft him.

Ewers is made of glass and has the potential to have the yips after any given injury period.

Both guys look like busts in the making. I agree with the sentiments that this draft has high risk with the QB class.

They might not be the highest rated prospects, but I have as much confidence in Barron and Helm as pros as I have had with almost any prospect we’ve produced in a while. Convinced they both will excel in the NFL.

I'm not sure if Quinn can read a defense in pure 3-5 drop-back other than throwing the shortest/quickest route. He's extremely inaccurate deep unless he knows exactly where he's going with the ball before the snap and it doesn't change post-snap because his footwork is a mess. He can't stay healthy. He has terrible pocket presence. All of these things would individually disqualify my taking him in the first round, and combined would take him out of the first three. I'd consider mid rounds (4-5) if I have a McShanahan guy, because that tree has shown they can joy-stick a QB into early success. He's got a good arm, but it wouldn't be in the top half of the league's starters. His athleticism would probably be bottom third among starters. The one thing he does at a high level is layer passes. Hopefully some of this changes in the coming weeks

Beck at least has size/athleticism and will hang in the pocket. He's got some Sam Darnold yolo retard to his game, and there's value in hanging in the pocket and making NFL throws. I'd consider him as a backup with early starter upside in the 2nd/3rd round if I have a current starter but don't view that starter as a long term answer, and Beck could potentially be a cheap starter for you in the back end of his rookie contract after the current guy phases out

Ward is the most talented QB in this draft, but he's basically young Jameis but worse at reading defenses. How valuable is that? He's the one guy who physically actually looks like an NFL starter you'd see in the playoffs, but he'll regularly throw back breaking INTs. I'd need an offensive head coach in place who pounds the table for him, and it would have to be after the very best guys in the draft are off the board

Shedeur is accurate, can read a defense, and will hang in the pocket. He's small though, and his tools are mostly that of an average NFL starter. If you think you can avoid or mitigate the circus, he's someone you can draft as having a good chance of at least being an average starter, but the upside is limited given how good the top seven or eight guys in the league are right now. Ignoring locker room and circus stuff, to me he's a bit of a middle class man's Stroud

The Milroe comp is a faster Jalen Hurts. Hurts still can't throw over the middle and struggles with a lot of the passing game that isn't throwing deep, throwing short, or throwing RPOs. I think you better be drafting him into an ideal situation the things he's good at need to be enough to win, because if you're asking him to do any sort of traditional drop back stuff, it's not going to be pretty

Maybe someone shows more over this last month and a half, but none of these guys are someone I'd want to take at the top of the draft as a building block franchise QB who I'd eventually plan on giving a top of the market second contract to. Draft a different position and kick that can down the road for another year. However some of them are interesting in the first round or early second if you already have a good team in place and need a cheap starter, and some of them are interesting upside plays outside of the third round

Brugler hopped on Mays's podcast

- this will be the most polarizing draft class that he's worked, which spans the past 15 years, and that starts with the QBs. Travis Hunter is the best prospect, but even with him there's disagreement on where to play him. "After him, one team's #2 player will be another team's #12". The first 14 or 15 players are all over the place compared to other years. Other than Travis Hunter, it's tough to nail down players' floor right now within the top fifteen, which typically it's very easy to find areas where players won't fall past. Most of the top players all have warts that keep them from being obvious top five picks.
- What are the warts for Walker, Williams, Carter, Graham? Walker isn't asked to pass rush much despite it being what he's best at. Williams is another traits vs production guy similar to Travon Walker. Can Carter be a full time player at the LOS? Graham doesn't have the athletic upside you typically see from a DT taken this high
- While Will Campbell is OT1 for many teams, some teams like Will Campbell inside more because of his shorter arms. Comparing to last year's historic OL class, Campbell is close to Tyler Guyton in terms of quality, while Amarius Mims would probably be a top five pick this year had he returned to Georgia. League is split on Banks as a guard vs tackle, Dane doesn't think he's played like a top ten guy this year, more like a mid to late first rounder. Cam Williams isn't quite as freaky as Mims was, but same idea there
- In the top fifteen outside of Travis Hunter, who does Brugler like the most? Will Johnson is his #2 player so obviously him, but in the spirit of the question, Brugler really likes Starks and thinks he'll be excellent in the NFL. Thinks he's worth a top ten pick in this class. The point out how Kyle Hamilton and Brian Branch are playing should make teams feel better about drafting Starks higher
- RB is the deepest position in the draft, maybe one of the deepest years there ever. They talk about how the market might have over-corrected on being too negative on RBs. Jeanty might be the best football player in the draft after Travis Hunter, but there's no obvious spot for him in the top 20; Dallas could use him, but they have so many other needs. He fits on any team, but there's no obvious landing spot for mock drafts in the top 20. Washington would be interesting
- Talking QBs: none of them come close to the top three from last year. They're all inconsistent from week to week, all are riskier with warts, their strengths don't overcome their weaknesses to the level of last year's top three. There are teams in the top ten who will have to draft a QB (Las Vegas, NYG), which means reaches will happen this year. Talks about how first round QB picks aren't really front office picks, but are ownership picks because owners will have their thumbs on the scale, and he talks about how the big stage CFB playoff games can influence QB picks in the first round because owners are more likely to be watching those games, and with the expanded field there's more opportunity for QBs to rise due to this
- Cam Ward most likely to be the first QB taken; stats/production is there, traits are there, scouts like his leadership and confidence, very good on-schedule, but turns into a YOLO player off-schedule (double edged sword off-schedule). Has gotten better each year, has never plateaued. Hasn't played a good defense this year. Hoping Miami makes the playoff so he can face a good defense.
- Shedeur is tough, poised, and accurate. He's a good QB and can be an NFL starter. But from a top five in the draft perspective, the upside isn't there that you usually want with that type of pick because he has average physical traits, especially for the way he wants to play. Wants to play like Jordan Love but has average physical traits rather than top end. Pocket movements are hit or miss, will have to improve there (a lot of their sacks are QB sacks). Leadership/locker room questions from scouts for when things are going bad on the field.
- What pairings make sense in mock drafts in the top ten? Feels like Shedeur is a LV match because of Mark Davis's tendency to chase narrative and flash, and also Shedeur's relationship with Tom Brady. Dallas and Mason Graham (also mentioned Jeanty, but then point out how deep the RB draft is). New England and Tet McMillan (although they talk about NE signing Tee Higgins and then drafting an OL instead).

So, the OTF guys were talking about 9 Texas linemen possibly being drafted (this is them)

Givens:  Williams, Majors, Banks, Collins, Sorrell

Likely- Broughton

Possibly- DJ, Hayden Connor, Lole (draftable- said not likely b/c of injuries but could happen), Trey Moore (if he leaves he will absolutely be drafted- but might want to come back.

Call it 7 out of those 10 is my take on it.  Givens for sure, Broughton, and at least one of the other guys

Add to that:  Quinn, Bond, Golden, Helm, Barron, Makuba, Taffe who all will absolutely be drafted if they were to come out.   Let's say 2 of those guys come back (or transfer if Quinn decides not to go in the draft)- that makes 12 or 13.  I was being provacative with 16 to begin the year but from September on I said 16 was going to be closer than 10 and set the o/u at 12.5 and took the over in early October last time I really looked at it.

Nailed- Broughton, Cam Williams, Majors (was on all those guys being drafted this time around before the season

Absolute dead ass wrong- Blue- I thought he was damn near a guarantee

Never developed- Holmes- I didn't expect Barron to be so fucking good at CB and thought he might get a decent amount of play- nope- Barron got rid of any chance of him flashing and getting late round love

Gbenda- I had him in the maybe. If the season ended at OU he probably gets drafted. I can't imagine that happening now.

I've been calling DJ Campbell all year. He's playing really well right now. He has the size and prospect pedigree. It's just a question of if he wants to get drafted now or try to do better next year.

Taafe- good for you buddy- you've played yourself into an NFL career.

I had Hayden Connor in the maybe group.  He's had a really good senior year. What do yall think- he get drafted or nah?

Locks (if they leave- but have eligibility):  Quinn, Golden, Bond, Williams, Banks, Cambell, Tre Moore, Guilbeaux, Taffe (prediction- 6 of those 9 go)

Locks and gone: Helm, Majors, Collins, Sorrell, Barron (5)

Likely & gone:  Broughton, (1)

Coin Flip & Gone- Hayden Connor, Lole (1)

unlikely- possible- gone- Gbenda, Holmes, Bolden (0)

13- final guess right now.

This looks like the best mock draft I've seen yet. Not nearly as many head scratching picks as a lot of the others I've seen, and Brugler is actually reflecting this year's level of play in his mock.

Interesting that he has Collins all the way in the first round. I think that's the first I've seen him there, but it makes sense. He's always had 5 star athleticism but he's finally adding the play on the field along with it. Collins is starting to remind me of Calais Campbell. He obviously still has a ways to go before he gets to that level.

Also interesting that Scourton is not in this mock. He's looked slow and unable to rush the passer this year, so it's not a surprise. The A&M S&C staff have majorly failed him this year and cost him millions.

The On Texas Football guys were basically telling everyone DJ Campbell is gone- get ready for it during signing day coverage this morning.
All 5 OL getting drafted in the same year would be pretty cool of that happens and Hayden Connor sneaks in.
