I'm beginning to see why Immamac boliviated Derka last year. Maybe this can be the moment we all drop it.  But I don't think that's in the cards

actually, it had been dropped for the last 20+ post until you brought it back up.

I saw Eisen and his 5 rumors yesterday. Notably absent was the talk of Sanders being "arrogant" and "brash" in some of his interviews or his 3 word reply of "How u know" when asked about it online.

That's the slippage I'm expecting. Going second to the Browns? Yeah I don't think so. Tomlin takes him late? Not sure about that either. I don't think Tomlin will put up with his shit and I don't think Sanders will stoop to being a Brown.

I wouldn't touch him. I can see the Jets taking him because they are run by a teenager but I don't know who else will be giving him a serious look.

Listening to Bob Sturm talk about him yesterday he called his 10 yd plus passes awful, but strange things possess the football minds on draft day.

I think he's toxic.

the video of cam ward getting under shadeur’s skin in impossibly easy fashion gave me huge pause. i already wasn’t very high on him to begin with, but seeing him lose his cool over the tiniest little bit of friendly shit talk was a pretty big red flag.

If I was a GM I think I’d let someone else deal with his first contract, then if he proved league worthy within 2-3 seasons, trade for him if and only if my team was in need of a QB1.

Sure would have been nice if Cam had gotten down to 317 BEFORE they season rather than after it

My guess is that he would have been lighter on his feet

I will still have another 10 (or so) to spare if anyone else needs some pounds as well.

I wonder what Daddy Prime would think about his wittle boy going to that shit show.

Overrated hype plus the sports loudest and most famous helicopter dad? Yeah, I'll pass. If I was running the Browns, I'd trade that pick so fast and get an additional first round pick then maybe take a flyer on a QB in the third.

This is just stupid. Helm sprained his ankle on 1st attempt and still did all the drills.  How frail is your ego that you find pleasure in that?

As a Steelers fan, I kind of like both of these drafts.

Option 1: Shedeur Sanders falls to 21.  Not likely, but it would be interesting to see how he'd fare in Pittsburgh.  I *think* he'd be better than Fields.  Wilson became predictable in the latter half of the season.
Option 2: Golden and Collins to the Steelers in rounds 1 and 2.  Steelers need another WR who's not an insane person.  Add a good DT to eventually take Heyward's place would be great.

Neither of the above will occur, but I like the possibilities.

I know it's popular to shit on Shedeur, but I think he's a fit for a playoff team that just needs a cheap starting QB for the next four years (like Pittsburgh)

I don't think he's a great fit for a rebuilding team

bad look in this case considering Helm got hurt.  But the rest of the 12 guys invited did ok

He could work on a team that already had plenty of veteran leadership to keep his bullshit in line.

I think it's more about him not having the upside to carry a team like the top ~10 QBs do, but he can be a league average QB if he hits, and that's good on a rookie contract

Agree. I dont see him as a topflight talent. He is not big. He has decent mobility, but he isnt a great athlete. His arm is solid, but nobody would say he has a cannon. His physical traits are closer to Drew Brees than Josh Allen. He will have to develop better anticipation and football savvy to be a high-end NFL QB, that is extremely hard to predict.

Too many teams with a QB need for Sanders to fall very far.

NYG, NYJ, Browns, Titans, Raiders, maybe Steelers, maybe Saints. Rodgers and Cousins will go somewhere, probably Darnold too (as well as Wilson and/or Fields depending what Steelers do). Those teams in the top 5 might rightfully be scared off picking Sanders that high. It’s very conceivable he could tumble to late 1st or 2nd round. Maybe there’s a dark horse like Seattle or Rams that would take him thinking their current QB will only be around one more season.

Posted

Sanders will be a wild card. I could potentially see him dropping into the second round if teams just don't want to deal with the ego and the circus around him. But it only takes one dumbass team to pull the trigger.

Jets and Browns are on the clock. I don't even think Jerry is in a position to take a whiff like that, but you never know.

Helm got hurt? His other numbers say he wasn't that hurt my guy. Burnt Orange and White said he bet that Helm would run faster and have better combine numbers than Sanders. So here we are. Burnt Orange and I talk shit but behind the curtain he is solid and its all good fun. I would most def sit down with guy and have a few beers so mind your own got damned business. Lol

Listen whoever you are. The combine doesn't make a shit in the long run. Worthy clocked the fastest time in history and then you know what the Kansas City Chiefs found out? They have to use him exactly the same way Texas did. He didn't go out there and all the sudden become a better deep ball catcher. Mitchell didn't set the world on fire. So perhaps they are what we thought they were?

A 50 yard TD bomb in the Super Bowl says maybe they're trying to exploit his speed anyway.

We threw Worthy a deep ball or two as well but mainly used him as in short yardage just like they did. He is fast but slight and gets rerouted easily.

As far as Helm goes you don't run that fast in cone and shuttle drills if your ankle is bothering you that much. To be honest, you don't run those at all as a lot of players skip those altogether.

Just a few numbers to support your stance on Worthy.

Tied for 19th in deep ball targets.

Tied for 5th in TDs on deep balls.

No drops on deep balls.

Tied for 16th in contested catches.

Looks like the deep ball and behind the LOS track on a % basis from 2023 to 2024.  That didn’t really track for 2021 and 2022.  As a frosh at Texas he had 9 TDs on intermediate and deep balls compared to 3 his last year.

Especially that second sentence. Go back and read the fucking thread before you subject us all to another three pages of histrionic bullshit.

The obvious caveat to Helm's "better" agility drills is this:  we don't know how he would have done had he not torqued his ankle.  You can't just look at raw numbers and say "well it clearly didn't hamper him".

What’s funny is Worthy had a better rookie season than Tyreek.

Quinn Ewers has had more skill talent around him than any QB at Texas. It’s hilarious this guy.
