They should all STFU (No CR)

From Jaamal Bowman:

"The NFL doesn’t like Shaduer [incorrect spelling] Sanders because he wears gold chains and talks like a rapper. They don’t care that he’s a leader, intelligent, tough and completed 77% of his passes with no o line and no running game. He’s entitled but Eli Manning wasn’t entitled when he refused to be drafted by San Diego? He’s not athletic, but that didn’t stop Joe Montana, Drew Brees or Tom Brady. America continues to fear strong black men who come from means and have a strong sense of themselves without submitting to the 'dominant' culture," Bowman - who famously pulled a fire alarm for no reason while in Congress - tweeted Friday morning in reaction to Shedeur's slide.

"It's the way Shedeur dresses. It's the way he talks, and it's his culture, in my opinion. You see him at the draft last night. He's wearing all black. He got the L chain on, and he talks like a rapper," the former Congressman explained. He also floated the theory Shedeur is a black man with means not submitting to the NFL and "white sh*t."

I liked Tyler Booker’s quote about football and that’s an awesome 😎 thing to have in a player no question. I bet he nailed every combine interview, good pick if the ability holds.

"Football is a child's game. People wake up, they're like, 'I can't wait to play this football game today,'" Booker replied. "They get so excited to play football until they come across Tyler Booker. Then when I'm going after you — quarter after quarter, play after play, series after series — and I start to see that love leave their eyes. That's what makes me love the game."

TIL Booker is a psycho

You mean the school that won State in track with a 3:10 sec 4x400?  I'm gonna bet some of those guys were on the football team.

Same school with a few of those kids back,  think the running back who is going to OU.

Even without Jelani Watkins and the other seniors they have plenty of athletes and finished second in a pretty decent district that featured GPNS and Summer Creek.

If you have the right horses relative to your competition, anything can work.  And, if you can confuse the opponents D because they see it so infrequently, that can make a difference too.  Liberty Hill is an example of this.

I’m old enough to have been in a wing T offense then shortly after seen my high school transition to more open offenses.  Then seeing the evolution since that time.  I have a biased, personal preference of which offense I’d choose.  And a key support of that is the number of QBs from Texas that have succeeded at higher levels.  Thirty years ago Cam award is likely never heard from beyond high school.  Obviously, the reasons run deeper than simply the offense, but that’s one reason.

Agree with one caveat.

Thirty-forty years ago a kid like Ward would be heard from in college and possibly after, but with a different career path. One most Horns should be well aware of, the same pathway that took high school quarterback Jerry Gray to an all time great in Austin and the HOF in Canton.

Looks like that Murdaugh guy who killed his son and wife.

"He has phenomenal genes."

Let's assume he does.  Let's assume he has inherited 100% of his father's genes (he has not).  He certainly has not demonstrated the physical, emotional, or intellectual traits necessary to be a top-flight QB.  And his dad has been his coach during his entire football life.

DJT forgets that Shedeur also has arrogant asshole douchebag genes, which is kind of a turnoff for "the face of the franchise."

Riiiiiight.

Last night, I saw one of the whitest entire states in the Union go apoplectic with joy after drafting a guy who dressed like this:

maybe it's because Shedeur's not that great of a prospect

Remi?

What a badass photo.  Not sure what my favorite part is...the dog, the roses, or the fro.

Who are our possible picks tonight?  I would imagine Bond’s recent legal issues drop him down a few rounds.  Maybe somebody takes Ewers late 3rd?

Definitely the fro.

I have a big fro too, but you can't see it in my pic because of my toque.

Collins and Mukuba should be locks to go today.

Williams, Broughton, Ewers, Bond, Helm and Blue have good shots to go today. I’d bet at least three, more likely four of those go today.

The rest are tomorrow or udfa.

I don't know what will be funnier: The Browns picking Shedeur, where we point and laugh at the Browns; or the Browns NOT picking Shedeur, where we point and laugh at Mel Kiper.

Jesus cleveland how much time do you need. You had all night and day to talk about it.

But, the matching t-shirts in CLE's war room are adorable.

It seems really weird because Cam Ward probably wasn't alive when the Oilers was even a football team

They moved to Tennessee in 97 and became the Titans in 1999. 28- 26 years ago respectively. He probably doesn't know who the Oilers are, but Cam certainly knows the Titans and as 22 year old first pick in the NFL draft, I doubt he gives a shit about those specifics.

We're old man..

I still can't believe NFL fans traveled to Green Bay, of all places, to stand around Lambeau's parking lot in the cold rain for the Draft.

Mind-boggling

Easy to do when you’re unemployed.

CRY KIPER CRY

I opted for ABC. Field Yates board is better imo. Also Saban throws some good nuggets of intel out  for people who want to build a successful NFL franchise that aren’t not Saban since he failed

I used to love watching the draft. This year it seems like a fucking beating. So many fucking commercials. May have always been like this, but I am noticing more this year than before.
