Do teams still run the dink & dunk, west coast offense?

Actually yea.  Nobody seems to realize the average air yards per attempt in the NFL is something like 7 yards, and less than 10% of passes are 20+ air yards.

Quinn's bigger problem is he is slightly built and injury prone.

He is similar to Purdy.  I can see that.

And the HC as far as we know isn’t going anywhere like a top OC would so it’s his best chance to be developed and decent climate and all that shit.

Improve the NFL draft drama.

Let Colleges into the room. Combine Portal and Draft.

Some of the players who are thinking about how badly they fucked up by entering the Draft... let the NIL cash registers start ringing.

Well, I was right on Gabriel going before SS... Cleveland or Dallas is where I saw SS potentially.

I would have never in a million years picked both of them to the same team. But... that it's Cleveland... fucking tracks.

Bad move for Ewers not taking another year of NIL money.

I have a higher opinion of Ewers than most, but he would've been beaten out of the starting job had he stayed, and his other options were playing for a university not named Texas. And given his injury history, potentially a career ending move before he even gets a chance.

As is, he's going to make a team and get an NFL salary.

He'll be fine.

I'm happy Blue got drafted... I hope I'm wrong but dont think it is great for the Cowboys nor Blue.

Think Helm in TN is a good fit, would not have been my 1st choice, but a lot better than... say... Cleveland.

Mel Kiper is having a mental breakdown.  He may have to admit himself to the hospital.

I think I saw a vein pop out of his head.  That was some rant.

I agree that "Hard Knocks" needs to film in Cleveland.  Watching tiny Dillon Gabriel bow up as Shedeur Sanders' "superior" would be hilarious.

Dillion is going to blow SS out of the water. Not close.

I posted the math on surly months ago . . . a Carson Beck -esque NIL deal is definitely the smarter financial move for these guys who aren't sure-fire round 1 or early round 2 picks.

Money wise yeah, but I think you and discussed at the time what that ultimately does to legacy and more regional opportunities for someone like Quinn long term. Quinn wasn't getting massive NIL from Texas next season and going elsewhere kills any chance for that regional endorsement money if the NFL doesn't pan out.

He was in a catch 22 at that point.

Man, it's all about parking the money at this point.  Transferring to a P4 school for $4M or so would trump whatever hit his rep might take in Texas.  I also seriously doubt he would lose much traction in Texas, either.

Anyway, that horse is out of the barn.

EDIT:  just looked it up, a $4M annual deal corresponds roughly to a lower round 1 pick (~ $16M for 4 years).  Total, it's equivalent to a 7th round pick, and I assume that's IF they guy sticks, which most won't.

Fair, but I'm not confident Quinn was getting that much in NIL elsewhere.

Doesn't matter at this point, I just hope someone picks him up and gives him a look at QB2/3, aside, of course, from Cleveland.

Beck got $4.3M at Miami.  I'm pretty sure they are viewed in a similar light.
