Official high of 95 at IAH yesterday, so the streak made it to 10. Gonna be a nail biter to see if reaches 11 today.

94 yesterday, so the streak ends at 10. Looks like we've got about 36 more hours until this front makes its way down to Houston tomorrow evening. Tonight should be the last night where the low doesn't get out of the high 70's for a while.

Whole bunch of warm, sunny days with cooler mornings and evenings on the extended forecast for 9/26-10/6. Average High of 92, Average Low of 71. "Second Summer" is on its way out for now. I propose we call the next 2 weeks to follow "Pseudo Fall" maybe?

Front finally made its way down to Houston in the wee hours of the morning. Heat index was still in the high 80's at 10 pm last night. Much nicer this morning. Humidity should really start dropping as the day goes on. Tomorrow should be even better.

Do you have your patagonia vest ready?

Significantly warmer than average temps this week to start October. Average high/low for this week is 88/66. We're gonna be ~94/72 for a good chunk of the week. Next weak front looks to arrive late weekend. Daytime highs next week look to stay elevated in the low 90's, but lows should get back to the low to mid 60's.

TL;DR: At least 2 more weeks of highs in the 90's. Little chance of rain any time soon.

Are you new around here (Texas)?  This is the fuckery.  This is OUR fuckery.

"Fall" will happen a couple of days before or after Thanksgiving.  It will last 48 hours.  Then, we'll have more half-summer.  Or, we'll have an ice storm.  Dealer's choice.

Looks like about 5 more days remaining in this stretch of NeverEnding September until October finally shows up. Though yesterday's voyage into the high 90's was likely the highest temperature we'll see this week, we'll only drop down 2-3 degrees today through Friday.

Weak front looks to make its way down late Monday. Highs next week stay around 90 but lows drop back down to the low 60's.

Today fucking sucked with the return of high humidity.

Tired of this bullshit. It wants to be nice outside, but it's just not. Yeah yeah the evenings are nice which I'll take, but an afternoon of drinking beers on a patio without sweating my balls off sure would be good.

Yep. It was noticeably more swampy than it has been in a while today.

Not ideal for heading out to the Greek Festival this evening. Gonna be drenched in sweat when I get home. Being the first weekend of October, it's always a crap shoot on the weather, but rarely ever still dealing with heat indices in the mid-90's.

3 more days of this shit, then looks like we get an extended stretch of low humidity, highs topping out at 90, and lows back to the low 60's.

Welp, guess I'm gonna get another Sunday Swim in this evening. Heat index of 94 at 5 pm. Every weekend for about a month now, I think "might as well hop in the pool one last time this year." Dumbass.

If the forecast is to believed, one more record-tying day tomorrow and then we get a stretch of uncannily identical days from Tuesday until late next week. Trapped in some bizarre purgatory between Summer and Fall.

Nothing is more annoying than three consecutive days of fall like temps only to be followed by 10 days of 90s.
