Yesterday in Austin was gorgeous.  Woke up to high 40s and had dinner outside in the 70s.

Yes I enjoyed that ONE day of Autumn that we've had so far.

Next week might actually be pleasant.

Current forecast for Houston. Lower humidity to start the week will produce some overnight cooling and finally allow us to drop into the low 60's in the mornings and evenings. Dewpoints in the 30's on Thursday and Friday.

Okay cool so earlier this afternoon it was feels like 95 again and now we're a week into November.

So, um, I'm gonna get the suicide-cult started - who wants in?

Another day of this stupid fucking humidity.

That's what's pissing me off the most.  85 degrees in November?  Not ideal, but I can tolerate it if the humidity wasn't 200 god damn percent.

Another strong dose of humidity today. Good news is that a weak front is heading this direction. Should reach Austin area late tonight and start dropping humidity levels throughout the day tomorrow. Will take longer to reach the coast, as the Houston area will likely remain muggy until Sunday evening.

Conditions look to improve next week, with humidity backing off and morning/evening lows dropping down to seasonal levels.

When do we get 4 days of a hard freeze before Summer comes back in March? Asking for my plants.

I think mid Feb is usually when those fuck us all up

I remember was usually around december finals for the first go around. Oh well, I picked a cup of grape tomatos today. Still have eggplants setting on the bushes.

The front came through here. It's an awesome 52 degrees right now with clearing skies and a nice breeze.

Normally I can keep my house at 75 degrees and be fine.  With this soup in the air, I have the AC set to 72 and it feels like 90 in here.  It fucking sucks.

Weird. Are you a big fat person?

Kxan currently showing today’s high of EIGHTY THREE as the coolest high temperature for the next week.

Sure would be nice if one you would post one of those long-range, 14-21 day models with lots or blues and whites for Central Texas.

Good thing there are no housing developments going in that area.

Edit, mayor of San Marcos just said we have plenty of water. So we can build and sell water.

At least it's looking like we'll have some decent mornings this coming week. Should be in the low 60's in Houston, high 50's in Austin. Another weak, short-lived Pacific front supposed to pass through Texas over the course of Wednesday, which should make for some pleasant weather on Thursday and Friday.

Will continue to be low to mid 80's in the afternoons, but not oppressively humid. Baby steps.

Nicest morning in a long while today. Took the dogs for a long walk as soon as the same came up. A little warmer and more humid tomorrow but then another short front rolling through tomorrow evening. Thursday and Friday look awesome. Highs in the mid 70's, lows in the low 50's.

Legit cold front coming Thanksgiving-ish with some staying power. Talking highs in 50s and 30s at night for a few days.

Haven't seen that far out, but GFS is showing our first true Canadian cold front (vs. the weak Pacific fronts we've been seeing) making its way to Texas a little over a week from now. Highs in the low 60's, lows in the high 40's on the forecast for 11/20-22.

One thing really nice to see in the extended forecast is only a handful of days with highs in the 80's/lows in the 70's.

Only real ugly spot in the 15-day is that it looks like it will be warm and muggy again Saturday-Monday after 2 damn near perfect days tomorrow and Friday. The stretch from 11/19-11/28 resembles what November should actually feel like.

This probably won't come as a surprise, but the 45-day stretch from 10/1 to yesterday was by far the warmest start to Fall in the last 135 years or so for which reliable records exist. Blastfurnace 2024 Edition reigns supreme.

It is gorgeous outside. a bit muggy this morning, but damn it is a pretty day. I know, it is November and no one has been able to use the Uggs they last winter, but that 10 day forecast is about perfect.

But don't worry, in February you can snuggle in your uggs inside your thermal sleeping bag while the pipes freeze in the house.

Sorry, best I can do is 85 to start off Thanksgiving week

Yeah, pretty bummed to see the latest GFS runs have this upcoming front only lasting a few days before petering out on Saturday. At least we still should get a nice stretch of cool, dry weather from Tuesday morning through Friday night.

I miss cold Decembers and Januarys.  Saturday and Sunday were perfect CenTex winter weather.  Cold, rainy, barely making it out of the low 50s…twenty-four hours later, record Austin high.

Cool day today, then back to the 70s by mid-week.  Overnight lows approaching our average highs.

Sure seems like things are trending toward another 80° Christmas.

I mean, no, not really?  It’s 62° and rainy and the low today will be…56°.

Average high on 12/13: 61°

Average low on 12/13: 41°

Got up to 82 yesterday. Was absolutely gross in Houston (yeah, yeah I know). Close to 80 and extremely humid today through Tuesday until the next cold front on Wednesday which peters out by Monday. Currently trending towards a warmer than average Xmas Eve.

This has convinced me to add a standalone dehumidifier. Goddamnit I’m done with this shit.

I have one but it's loud.

Thursday Houston had perfect weather.  Lasted about 30 hours.

I turned on my AC to get back below 60% humidity INSIDE
