I disagree, but that made me laugh for real, the juxtaposition of that post right when they're doing their sentimental sign-offs.  Nice

Lulz.. His home run call of the ball caught in center field in the T9 sent me over the edge. Every ball he calls is “well hit,” every play is a “tough play,” and his using “miscue” instead of “error” makes me rage.

Am I wrong for thinking the majority of the lhn people that work the games will just be moved over to secn?

I assume they’d add a channel to cope with UT and OU and aid in the transition while exerting dominance over the rest of the ESPN network but I’m regarded

Should be.  The baseball broadcasts should look just the same with an espn+ logo in place of an lhn logo

I don’t think a series win against BYU changes much. OU ran away with the conference.

Maybe if we sweep BYU things look different for the NCAA tournament, but there are 6-8 other games just like BYU we let slip away.

The mid week loss to UTRGV was a low point.     I’m sure they have painted the score on one of the water towers in Edinburg.

Obviously no guarantee we win that game but I get where you’re coming from. It’s still been a frustrating few years since our ‘21 run.

ah yeah, good catch (no pun), it was tied.  I had Dylan's hit/rbi as the go ahead run.

I hope we get sent to the Arkansas regional.

They've lost 2 of the last 3 SEC series and it really should have been 3 straight series losses. They have some major pitching issues once you get past their ace in Hagen Smith.

Can the ncaa resist sending us to aggy?  Previous experience says they cannot.

As others have said, it would be hilarious to spoil their season.  I'm almost hoping for the chance.  (Not really, I don't trust this team that much, but stranger things have happened between us and those dipshits.)

Have we ever played a regional in CS? I honestly don’t know.

If this is in reference to the previous experience comment, it’s more a reference to other ncaa sport tourney pairings over the past decade where they either ensure a matchup or line one up early on.

They’ve sent aggy to Austin, but I don’t recall the horns ever playing in a CS regional.  There really haven’t been that many times that aggy has hosted and the horns haven’t.

I went back and looked and there have been 4 times under the current format that aggy has hosted and Texas hasn’t

1999 UT to UH

2008 UT to Rice

2015 UT to DBU

2016 UT didn’t make the tournament

2015 would be the only relevant comparison. In '99 and '08, aggy was still in the Big XII. '15 was the first time DBU hosted a Regional, I'm sure the committee wanted to place a big name there to help.

Exactly. They want the tv ratings - that’s why, when possible, aggy has come to UT’s regional when we host and they don’t.  Hell, 2 mediocre teams got seeded ahead of aggy in softball that should have been below aggy, but they couldn’t set up Texas-aggy super regional unless they mucked around at the selection process

With the the exception of the rice regional in 2008 that had rice / a&m in the super, I don't think that is true at all.  We'll see.  I suspect Texas will go to Corvallis or Santa Barbara.

UT was the 3 seed in that regional and went 2 and Q.  Oregon State was the 2 seed.  I'm really expecting that the Horns are going to get sent to the aggy regional
