PSG thoroughly outplayed us in the two matches. Didn't deserve to go through.

EDIT: Admittedly, I caught very little of today's match but what I saw was PSG pushing more than us.

So many wasted chances in first half of first half. We have the hottest of starts at home but fucking hate when we don’t capitalize. Fu king shit.

Slot confirms Alexander-Arnold is out of Sunday's final. "Still being assessed but we do expect him back before the end of the season."

Konate is returning to team training today.

#LFC line up v Newcastle: Kelleher, Quansah, Konate, VVD, Robertson, Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, Salah, Jota, Diaz.

Subs: Alisson, Endo, Nunez, Chiesa, Jones, Gakpo, Elliott, Tsimikas, McConnell.

Two changes from midweek. Kelleher for Alisson Quansah for Alexander-Arnold.

When’s Bradley expected back?

I haven't seen an update but it's been 5 games already. Maybe by the start of the April matches? Nice two week break after today.

FSG needs to be prosecuted for lack of investment to back a new manager. Absolutely no depth to this squad — Slot sends out the same 11-14 players every single week and the midfield trio are dead tired. The only reason we’re winning the league (MAYBE, at this point) is Salah’s form over the first 5 months and the fact that City and Arsenal capitulated. Same position as last year — great squad through January/February and then the grind of the schedule catches up to the main squad as there’s no adequate rotation to keep players fresh.

Slot playing obviously injured Gakpo over Elliott/Chiesa the last two games is stupid. Playing Macca/Grav over Endo today was stupid as well. You aren’t going to beat this Newcastle team with players that can’t run at all.

Feels a bit like PSG broke them.

They didn’t look good before that. Drew to Everton, drew to Villa, barely scraped past Wolves. Needed haram-ball tactics to beat a bad City side. They’ve looked like an excellent squad exactly one time in 2025 and it was the semifinal drubbing against Tottenham. Other than that, we’ve been hanging on for dear-fucking-life with a tired starting XI.

I think they just look tired. The midfield is gassed and the forwards aren’t really any good for most of this season. Outside of Mo our attack is shockingly average.
