I keep hoping for him to step up, but he keeps stepping on his own dick

Great ball on by Trossard

It really was; both assists today, his and Ethan’s, were outstanding.

Since we have a heading machine at striker now, I’d think there’s a place for Tierney in this squad ATM. A headed goal from a whipped-in cross… yes please.

Or maybe my high opinion of Tierney is still colored by West Brom in the snow.

If we scrape past PSV, then Saka and Martinelli should be back for the quarters. Won’t be easy; just somehow need to survive and advance.

Was hoping to not be in Madrid’s half of the draw, but whatevs.

that said, we just went 17 unbeaten during the worst injury crisis we’ve had since my time as a supporter. we were never going to gain 7-8 points on liverpool with merino at striker, no saka, so havertz, two teenagers starting, etc. i can’t sit here and be all that upset, in fact im actually really proud of this team.

Once Saka got injured the chances of winning dropped to less than 1%, once they decided not to sign anyone in the January window, chances dropped to 0.00%

Was nice to see Benny Blanco back on the pitch today, other than that what a crap match.

Honestly, Arteta/the board rolled the dice by not signing a striker in the summer when it was obvious to EVERYONE that position needed reinforcements. Left us zero margin for error, and then the injuries killed the season. Players can’t play 89’ every three days fir years on end; Saka, Øde, Havartz… these dudes need cover.

Top 4 (maybe 5, if the PL gets another CL slot) is no given if we don’t figure out something quickly.

yeah i mean i understand not being able to sign the likes of vlahovic, sesko, osimhen, and isak during the last two january windows, but surely we should have brought in *somebody* who is an actual striker for this very foreseeable scenario. whether it was a young striker on loan or a 29 year old willing to come be a career backup at arsenal, it feels like we just gave up on this season for some reason.

Santiago Giminez went for €32m in January. Seemed like a guy that worse case Arsenal could sell in a year and a half for the same amount of money.
