This girl was out by 10 miles, why are they challenging obstruction?

It's usually 50/50, but she was out pretty easily.  Bama is the underdog, so may as well challenge.  Just dumber because they had an out call at 2nd on a steal that should have been challenged for Bama, but Murphy didn't.

Also Beaver is doing to UCLA what I hope Mac or Citlaly does to Stanford - ground ball city.

Pretty sure UCLA would love another shot at us.

Would take a lot of weird to make that happen - either in the champ series or one of us going 1-1 and flipping brackets as long as the other goes 2-0.

Do we have an estimated first pitch time for the Texas game?

No.  Will depend what time Duke/OU finishes.  We are running 90ish minutes behind today, but there is a scheduled gap between the afternoon and evening games, so if Duke/OU is less than 2.5 hours, we may start on time.

Weather looks okay-ish for our timeslot (less than 20% rain chances before 9pm), but Florida/OKST might be screwed and have to play tomorrow.

I'm seeing this all the time now.  Every fucking play at the plate is reviewed.  It's maddening.

Plus, it should only be obstruction if the catcher is blocking the plate without the ball AND it affects the runner's path to the bag.  If a runner is hosed by a mile, it can't be obstruction and shouldn't even be reviewable.

Aww, too hot and humid for Maxwell? Boohoo lol

Texas laughs at this weather - 75-80% humidity and mid-70s?  That's pleasant compared to our super regional weather.

Duke seems to be playing the same strategy Texas and OKST did - don't let them see the same pitcher multiple times in this game

Also the Duke starter might be better at handling pressure if needed to return late in the game.

blOU hitters are so good at sitting on change-ups

Duke had their chance.

The current Duke pitcher struggled in their Super Regional.  Too many walks, and blOU hitters teeing off.   6-1 blOU leads

The 5 teams currently without a loss seem to be the best 5 teams.  A case for any of these 5 teams winning this tournament is valid.

  • #1 Texas
  • #2 blOU
  • #4 gata
  • #5 okie lite
  • #6 bruins
