Cowboys Legend Larry Allen, Dead at 52

Recommended Posts

RIP to probably the greatest G/T to ever strap on a helmet. I was just a kid when he played but he was, and still is, one of my favorite players of all time. Right there with my Bucs Derrick Johnson and Warren Sapp. Dude was an absolute freak of nature.

Damn, man. My heart hurts for not only him, but his entire family.

RIP, big man.

This really sucks. Dude grew up impoverished in Compton, didn't even graduate high school so he couldn't play Division I and worked his way up to becoming a Hall of Famer. Not only was he a great football player but also a great father as evidenced by his son going to Harvard. Really sad.

^^ Jr. wearing his dad's number.

I think Larry Allen's biggest fan was John Madden.

I was never a Cowboys fan, and I never will be one but, I was an acquaintance of Mark Stepnoski at Pitt as we had a couple classes together. So, I followed Mark’s career and thus watched that great offensive line more than I normally would have. Allen was just an incredible football player.

Rest In Peace, Big Man.
