Week 2 rankings. The Pac 12 South still gargles everyone's balls.

1) Washington - Can't fault them much for losing to Auburn.

2) Stanford - A case could be made that they're #1

3) Oregon - Winning the beauty contests against weak teams.

4) Colorado - Best road win of the season for the conference so far

5) USC - True frosh QB needs to find his feet, then they'll move up

6) ASU - How much longer will Herm be underestimated?

7) WSU - No glaring deficiencies, but we'll see when conference play starts

8 ) Cal - Decent road win and making strides on offense

9) Utah - Workmanlike victories over middling opponents

10) UCLA - His players don't fit Chip's system, so be patient

11) OSU - They seem to have some fight in them compared to last year

12) Arizona - Rich Rod would probably be 2-0 right now...

I see no need to change the rankings from week 2 to week 3. Next week will be fun. Furd plays in Eugene, Washington hosts the Herm, and bottom feeders Zona and OSU have their pillow fight.

My perfect Pac12 weekend:

Wash State sows USC with salt.

Mighty Tree, workmanlike, has a solid win against Oregon.

ASU upsets Washington.

kopp0e posts only football related content.

You veered off into fantasy land on that last one.

I just wanted to remind everyone that no matter how much SBBruin anti-weauxfs this one, UDub has not beaten UCLA in the Rose Bowl since 1995.

Had to google "anti-weauxf".  I will be there with the boy to witness another Bruin beatdown of the dawgs.  Saturday marks the dawn of a new Bruin era.  Or the following Saturday.  Or maybe next year.

I can wait another weekend for that if it's all the same to you.  But other than that I hope that you and your son have a good day out. Bruins have had our number over the years (yes, I was in Husky Stadium in 1990 for the UCLA game that cost us the national championship).

UW has won the actual Rose Bowl since beating UCLA there.

Damn. Thought Cal was getting things together under Wilcox. That's a bad loss for them. Good for UCLA though. UC System champs!

I thought the hire of Beau Baldwin as OC was a slam dunk. Instead, it has been astonishingly disappointing so far.

It's been the play of the defense that has kept me from including Wilcox in that opinion.
