We are aligned.  I'm not convinced that the timing of the firing announcement, right before our big game and not right after y'all got bounced from the CWS, was not done intentionally to poke A&M in the eye for the lolz.

That is a perfect example to demonstrate one of the reasons why A&M will always be in the shadow of Texas. You can’t comprehend that for a single second Texas was more concerned with Texas rather than A&M. It’s ingrained in the Aggy identity.

Imagine if Texas wins the very next College World Series...

With Schloss...

And like 4/9 of our lineup guys from this year's losing aggy team...

And it would be the talk of the entire Omaha run, in every game, even the ones we're not playing in...

Imagine how that would look to every high school athlete in Texas, in every sport.

Let's say this happens except, there only ends up being one player who transfers.  Let's also say that transfer only plays one inning all year. They will absolutely put it on their wall and take credit for a championship.

Your football team bought an entire class with Hefty bags full of cash and your fan base  chest-thumped for years afterward about how you had more money than anyone, including Texas.  There is no school more responsible for this current state of athletics, than your own.  If you can acknowledge that and still believe that college sports are in jeopardy, then peace.  But if you think TAMU is somehow above it and not largely responsible for it, then you're lying to yourself and everyone else.

And if you remember, Jimbo said that class had zero NIL.  It was good, old-fashioned bags.  Along with Jimbo cheating his ass off with in person visits that were not permitted due to Covid.  He was hosting prospects at his ranch.

Can someone confirm that CDC used the term natty today? Because if so I will see to it that he not only doesn’t use that term in the future, he will apologize on Twitter for it.

Natty - cringe term of the 2020’s.

He did and it was ok, you’ll be ok

Natty - cringe term of the 2020’s.

i’ll add to the list: at some point in the last 5-6 years touchdowns have become “tuddies”, which is arguably the dumbest thing i’ve ever heard.

The cringe goes farther back  than that. Originally it seemed like schools that used the term were rarely a threat to actually ""use it" when referring to their own school's accomplishments. Back in  the late 90's and early 2000's it was kind of frowned upon here and other longhorn boards.

I guess the thinking back in the day was that a MNC or an NCAA championship was pretty hard to come by so when mentioned we spelled it out or gave it a proper abbreviation rather than just naming it after a marginal lite beer that gave you the trots.

If I remember  correctly, aggy was fond of it, so it was dismissed.

The whole world of nomenclature and dynamic of NCAA sports has changed in the last few years so what do I know.

Far be it from me to correct  the guy that is hanging out in cemeteries to escort his new coach to safety and makes more in one year than I need for retirement.

I probably differ from many on this board in that I actually agree with this comment.  College sports is kind of a joke now with NIL, all  of the bidding wars, unlimited transfers, etc... While that reality undoubtedly benefits Texas more than any other  school, my give a fuck is far less than it used to be. However, there's just something inherently funny about watching a bunch of  insufferable, insecure Neidermeyer wannabes struggle to understand why everyone else on the  planet thinks you're a fucking joke.  I will never get tired of watching you dipshits  get punched in the nuts repeatedly, whether it be by our hand or your own.

Thats why this latest installment of "Watch Aggy Get Cockslapped" was  so enjoyable....... "In the orange corner, we have  Chris Del Conte, the best AD in the game right now and its really not debatable. And in the maroon corner you have Trev Alberts, a barely sentient butt plug who is well on his way to  fucking up his 3rd athletic  department. Hmmmm....I wonder  how this will turn out?"

Good luck with that dynamic moving forward, by the way.

Co-sign in all respects.

Let's go ahead and throw "cringe" in there for good measure.

For all those rubes (mostly in Norman/Cstat) that tell us every time that X or Y coach wouldn't take the Texas job. Here's a recap of the last decade of the big 3 sports

2013/14: Nick Saban is ready to come to Texas before Mack gets his way. This was after 4 NCs and 3 of the previous 5.

2020/21: Urban Meyer is very interested in the job and likely takes it if either the Jags don't come calling or NIL was added a year earlier.

2021: Chris Beard takes the job the second it opens 2 years removed from a runner up finish. Best young coach in the game at the time.

2024: Jim Schlossnagle takes a mediocre baseball program to relevance and mere seconds after finishing runner up in the programs only ray of hope in any major sport takes the Texas job.
