Turnout seems pretty high this year. Def up from the last couple seasons

Best weather I can remember for the alumni game in a long, long time.

The Disch is either the hottest or coldest place in Austin, so 71 and sunny is about as good as it gets.

The kid and I were both ditching clothes during the throw around.

Looks like Cody Howard is the same as last year

Hey, after the way he ended last year, Howard getting through 3 innings in any setting is a win.

Agreed. He’s pitching pretty decently. Looks like his tendency to give up HRs is still there though.

Winfield looks pretty athletic despite getting gunned down there. Gotta think he’s more likely to lead of than Schuessler right?

Schuessler had a little higher OBP and struck out quite a bit less compared to Winfield. Schloss did some interesting things with that A&M lineup. Had Grahovac leading off much of the year and he wasn’t a speed demon.

Riojas was a starter for UTSA last year right? Volantis and Howard both left a good amount to be desired imo.

Yes, as stated in other posts, he is a "Swiss Army Knife."

He could pitch in any place needed, but I think he will be in the bullpen because Schloss likes what he brings there.

The good news is that neither are expected to be top-tier starters. One of them would probably be the fifth guy, right now, and that’s without Grubbs or Whitehead factoring into that list.

The guy to watch as a possible starter is Aiden Moffet.

He has a 90's fastball and good breaking stuff. His problem at LSU was command.

He pitched today and had command of his pitches and was unhittable in his inning of work.

He is sort of like LBJ was, but if Weiner has helped him gain control of his stuff, he could fill one of the starting roles.

Grubbs and Whitehead will also be in the equation at some point in the season as starters as stated.
