Episode 2 Whatever GIF

I believe our wins over P4 opponents matter much more than our first series of the season in terrible baseball weather does. Which, by the way, we went 3-0 in...

Not sure why any of it matters. We swept them. Took care of business and that’s that

Well the SEC is a pretty weak baseball conference so we'll need all the SOS help we can get.

Who cares about rankings in March, but Ole Mill has a reason to be questioning where they sit and where aggy sits.

That won't be a concern for them for much longer.

Powderpuff conference.

Rankings will change (?) but as of right now, we have the # 1 (LSU), # 5 (GA), # 7(FLA), #22 (AUB), and the #1 to>>> # 14 in a week (you know who 🤣) ranked teams coming to the Disch for a series this year.

Good times to be following TEXAS Baseball 🤘

We will never have to concern ourselves with having a lack of opportunity in the RPI. Never. It will take care of itself for the rest of time.

They received the most favorable SEC schedule in the league.

No Arkansas, Tennessee, A&M, Florida or Auburn. Got Vandy, LSU and Texas all at home. Drew the tough road series of Missouri, South Carolina, Kentucky, Alabama and Georgia.

Pretty sure the original comment was about us playing them three tight games and Virginia pounding them by 10 runs a game.  That's how I took it anyway.

I throw the Dartmouth series out because of weather alone. just a weird weekend that was almost cancelled. would have been easy to drop one but we didn't, thank god.

The only ranked team Texas has beaten is fellow SEC member Ole Miss, not sure if they were ranked when Texas played them.

Rebs have reeled off nine straight wins since that run rule game to be ranked now.

Texas isn't going to play another ranked team till #2 LSU comes to Austin in the second week of SEC play.

Texas opens conference against one of the few SEC teams not ranked in Mississippi State.

Twelve of the sixteen SEC teams are ranked.

Nonconference play is just getting into a good position to start SEC play, without any of the big series against top teams like in the past.

That's ok now with the gauntlet to come

SEC conference games really do "mean more" in baseball, not just a slogan.

This will be when we find out how good this Texas team is.

Really need to get a Sunday starter and hopefully some bullpen arms you can depend on before then.

Something I was reminded of today is you can only have 27 active players for a conference series in the SEC and you have to declare those 27 guys before each series.

We will definitely have some interesting decisions to make. I’m assuming the 27 man roster will be something like:

C (3): Galvan, Chamberlain, Service

INF (6): Schuessler, Mendoza, Flores, Rodriguez, Borba, Duplantier

OF (5): Winfield, Belyeu, Gasparino, Farmer, Richardson or Scott?

RHP (7): Riojas, Burns, Duplantier, Grubbs, Flores, Rerick, McCreery, Saunier?

LHP (5): Volantis, Spencer, Mercer, Bing, Harrison

That is 27 and wouldn’t include some notable guys like Moffett, Hamilton, Tumis, Navarre, Howard, Stewart, etc.
