Schlossnagle is a fucking witch.

The guy had TCU regularly in the hunt to appear at the college world series for a decade...I repeat, he did this at TCU in baseball.

I always thought that A&M should have seen Schloss' breaking their hearts coming from the time they hired him.  He specialized in breaking their hearts in a regional or super regional every chance he got at TCU.  He and TCU keeping the Aggies out of Omaha was a sure bet.

True, and seriously they knew his chummy relationship with CDC could be a problem down the road along with his well know feelings about the Texas job.

Probably still worth the risk. Hell, they might have been able to keep him had they won it all last year.

Really one of the few times aggy made the right decision, but then again it was pretty much a no brainer.

I guess every once in a while even a blind aggy finds a lonely and willing barnyard animal.

KXAN has a great postgame interview with Schloss (have to scroll down).    I can't get it to embed nor find it on YouTube.  If someone can that would be great.

He talks about the game but also mentions the injury status of Whitehead, McCreery, and Mercer.   Mentions how Spencer was required to take an overload of summer courses to qualify.   Worth 10 min of your time.

Good stuff Torre. Thanks for the heads up 🤘

Yeah the aggy tears aren't quite as delicious because even THEY know their season is basically already over.

The beauty of this is we all know the next step is to throw a Jimbo type contract to Vitello, which they will be forced to buy out in 5 years...

Pants lengths have been up and down through the years. Some players liked showing off the leggings or stirrups. How do you think the Cincinatti Red Stockings and Red Legs got the name before becoming just known as the Cincinatti Reds. They wore the pants at knee length with red socks or stockings

Then players didn't wear the stirrups, and sanitary socks were made with a stirrup like stripe up each side of a sock.

The P. T. Barnum of baseball Bill Veek when he owned the White Sox decided that they should wear these uniforms in 1976.

Ralph Garr In Shorts,1976 White Sox | Mlb uniforms, White sox baseball ...

Some players started wearing longer socks all the way up to or beyond the pants underneath because of what sliding would do in those shorts.

He looks like a cricket player

I watched most of the games. aggy lost Schloss when the two drunk aggy cursed and screamed and damn near climbed into the Florida dogout to pick a fight with the Fla coach.

There are times when aggy goes beyond humor and into being a source of major embarrassment. The way we'd been flailing around looking for a coach, I had a feeling that last bit of aggyness was Schloss' last straw.

Playing two Sunday would make them 7 inning games like in Starkville a couple weeks ago.  Not sure if that applies to Friday-Sat twinbills...may just be a Sunday thing.

Friday should be ok, but windy AF. Saturday there is a bit of wiggle room with a 4pm start, but they’re talking strong/severe possible.

They’re still figuring it all out.

Intentionally so. In a perverse way, it lends legitimacy to the aggy actions.

I think there was even more - the batboy was killed by his father, who then killed himself, allegedly because Coach was banging the batboy's Mom. And had just married her.

It really seems like he might be just the coach aggy would enjoy.

aggy coaches usually prefer to watch their woman with another man, not take another man's woman.

He was coming the second we fired pierce regardless of that incident. From  pre tournament last year.

Well, the thing that somewhat mystifies me is that he took the job at all.  He knew how weird they were from experience.  But, I guess he saw the building blocks of a pretty good program, and, of course, the money, and I guess he was having some personal problems in Fort Worth.  So, he took it. And then found that they were even weirder than he thought, and apparently that the weirdness extends to places he didn't foresee.

Didn’t they say those two drunks were TU fans dressed as aggies to make them look bad???

I don’t think it helped the aggy cause in keeping Schloss when Trev blindsided him with the firing of his analytics guy.  Or stalled out on the $80 million facilities upgrade (Jimbo is the gift that keeps on giving).

Those fuckers had aggy rings lol

Those are easy to acquire.

1. Go to any Texas beach and post you lost your aggy ring on FB

2. (Tens of?) Thousands of aggys show up to search high and low until they find you one

3. ????

4. Use acquired aggy ring for double top secret mission to convince aggy's coach to move to Austin by taunting aggy's opponent's coach over a horrible, personal tragedy, while remembering to being so over the top obnoxious to make national news and get a lifetime CWS ban, causing said coach to GTFO and profit

Were those the same guys who were heckling a kid who had cancer/died of cancer (can’t remember all the details)?

Those were both factors. The firing was over and done with before he was even aware of it, and the the facilities upgrade was something that was brought up with his hiring (which wasn't done or even started in the 3 yrs he was there). Kind of part of the reason $10 million (or 9.9 per CTJ) CDC has already approved for the concourse area of DFF.

Plus he and CDC had a great working relationship at TCU. Suck it aggy
