He is done, regardless of what recovery path he chooses there is only 2 months left in the season and that is if this team is playing for a national championship. He won’t even be picking up a baseball for a chunk of time.

Feel terrible for him,  great young man.   Drafted in the 14th rd last year by the Phillies (same rd as Tanner by the Mets),  projected by many in the top 100 this year (65th by ESPN).   His family, Schloss, and Weiner will give advice and referrals on the path forward.

From a cursory search, depending on the extent of the injury shoulder injuries can be more debilitating than TJ.   Let's hope that is not the case.

Does this increase the likelihood he returns for next season or nah?

No.

Sucks to lose him but I’m not too worried with the staff we have and the guy coaching them.

Howdy.  If you get lost in between the parking lot and Disch Faulk, just look for someone in burnt orange to give you directions.

Maybe don’t ask this guy since he doesn’t know the name of the baseball field.

Tough luck for Spencer, really didn't want to hear it.  I was hoping whatever was going on was minor.  Regardless, of what happens next, I'm more than pleased with how this season has turned out.   Now, let's go stunt these sheep molesters.

Good luck to Spencer in whatever the future brings him in baseball, was certainly a great asset as a Longhorn.

If you agree to schedule a team, you should honor that agreement, unless they want out for some reason.

You don't just drop a game because of some RPI numbers, which in this case means basically nothing anyway to Texas at this point.

I picture him smiling anytime he gets to post any bad news for the Horns.

Baseball...football...we're always down one or two crucial pieces due to injury.

Brooks, Witt, Baxter, Belyeu, Spencer...  It's maddening.

Yeah, we have depth and guys have stepped up; all the credit to those guys.  But still.
