They need to operate every series with the mindset of going all out to win the first two games. TBA every game 3 and push all your chips in the first 18 innings every weekend. We are already at 16 conference wins, even if we drop a series or two down the stretch, we have built up more than enough cushion from a hosting standpoint. Hell, a disaster 4-8 finish where we lose every series still gets us to 20 conference wins and a likely national seed.

The only time you will need to win 3 games in 3 days is in a regional and if you can draw a very weak 4 seed you can manage that as a 2 game series as well. Everything else (regular season, super regional, CWS) can be managed by doing everything to win the first two games.

Bing will get dinged. Not the guy I would go with.

Maybe.  A&M's best hitters are left handed.  You need a credible left handed breaking ball against them.   I mean, you need Spencer but he's not available so you have Harrison, Bing, Walker, and Volantis that can do that.  I like Volantis too much in the closer role to move him.  Walker is just getting his feet wet.  There's another lefty down there who's played a little (name escapes me) but hasn't been used in conference that I can recall.

I hope they bite the bullet this week and move Ruger to Friday (possibly on a pitch count) and keep Luke on Saturday. Ruger has been the best arm on the team with the exception of Volantis.

Going to be tough without Jared, not really worried about replacing his production but it forces everyone else to take a step forward. Having Ruger on Sunday was a massive advantage and although Ruger will still deal like he has all year, you lose that advantage.

Pitching has carried this team all year, time for the offense to take some of the pressure off them

EDIT: Even if Spencer’s injury ends up being minor, he shouldn’t throw another pitch in the regular season.
