Ho lee fuk, please tell me someone else saw that?!

My wife didnt understand why AZ missed the FT on purpose. I was literally in the middle of explaining why it's better than inbounding under your own basket with like 2 seconds left, because it would take a miracle to  --

Brutal way to lose, but I dig your squad a lot. Didnt realize how much size you guys have until I watched a few games ago.

I fuckin’ love this team. We’re down a starter currently and it cost us WVU for sure, and unless the horseshoe falls out of Houston’s ass, it’s hard to see a Big 12 reg season title or 1 seed.

But Momcilovic is back in February and fighting through his absence should make us that much in tougher in March.

Houston seems immune to it

Houston is elite.  Then there are a handful of teams that can win on any given night, road or home.  They would be competitive in any league.

Also, the season ain't over.

Houston's elite, but they're also having some crazy shit go their way.  I suspect we're elite, and we've had some crazy shit go against us.

Like I said, I think these experiences will help us out come March.  I'm in no way down on this ISU squad, but I could see Houston winning out.  We only play each other once, and it's there.  Right now I think it's our only remaining loss and the idea that we could go 17-3 and finish in second by several games isn't far fetched at all.

and the Cyclones would almost certainly be a 2 seed at worst, should things play out that way.

That doesn't feel like the kind of team they are to you?

I expect us to be a 2 seed currently.  I'm completely fine with that.

If we're a 1 seed, we'll end up in Milwaukee.  If we're a 2 seed, we'll end up in Wichita.  Des Moines is 5.5 hours from each.

When they inbounded the ball that far in the backcourt instead of throwing past half-court for a catch and shoot, I let out an audible 'You Effin Dumbass' ..then Boom.  I said to myself, I'll shut up now.

I'll say I prefer the CBB rule over the NBA rule that allows inbounding on the other side of the court. If a team runs the clock and makes a tying or lead taking bucket with 2-3 seconds left on the clock, the ball should be inbounded as normal. They ran the play specifically to make it harder on the opponent to take the lead back. The NBA allows a catch and shoot on the other end of the court that just doesn't seem fair.

Men's CBB is the only one that doesn't allow you to advance the ball after a timeout during the last 2 min or OT.  NBA, WNBA, women's college basketball all do.

@Pancho has mentioned it - Men's CBB just refuses to conform.  Quarters, advancing the ball, etc.

So we have UNC in town tonight for a late game. I have no idea which Pitt team will show up tonight but, I just got in the building and it seems that we are having a BlackOut which will feature the worst dumbfucking uniforms known to Man. Our stupid black & gold uniforms.

We are doing ok tonight. 55-52 good guys with 11:31 to play. Offensively we can play with a ton of teams, as long as we avoid HeroBall.  Yeah, it can be said of pretty much any team but, we are not physical enough like the early 2000s Pitt teams to play the grind it out offense and beat up teams.

Just got home. Good Guys won. We outscored UNC, 13-2, down the stretch to win, 73-65. It’s a very good win for us coming off the win at Syracuse that ended a four-game losing streak. This is not, by any stretch, a really good UNC team. They don’t have much size and I didn’t see anything that they don’t especially well, at least not better than the top teams, which they are not. But, we made the plays we needed to make to win. Got loose balls, some key rebounds and most importantly made the extra pass on offense. A win is a win is a win. And this one was nice.

If you guys get a chance take a look at some highlights from Zack Austin. This kid can jump out of the building and he made some awesome plays tonight.
