he’s not playing like the 55th pick though, he’s playing like he has absolutely no business even being in the summer league.

Learn the one trick that all sportsbooks HATE.

Quote

More bets have been placed on Bronny James to win Rookie of the Year (ROY) than any other player at multiple sportsbooks. James has attracted nearly one in four of the bets placed on the ROY market at ESPN BET. BetMGM reported taking a $1,000 ROY bet on James at 250-1 on July 6, from a bettor in Ontario, and DraftKings said that only Edey had attracted more money wagered than James in its ROY market.

You're the captain for a pickup game... two players left, who are you picking, Bronny or Caitlin?

Clark.  She'd pass at the right time; she'd cut to the basket; she'd actually hit a three.

Plus, daddy's agents will threaten everybody on the other team so that they  are afraid to score.

Charlie Woods missed the cut at the US Junior Amateur. Will Bronny haters keep the same energy when Tiger's kid is taking sponsor's exemptions from more deserving golfers?

I would, yes.

There is no such thing as a "deserving golfer" on a sponsors exemption.  Sponsor's exemptions are specifically for them to put a couple dudes in the field that they think will benefit them in some way. If Charlie drew eyeballs then he would be doing exactly what that sponsor's exemption is meant for.  I don't care if LeBron wants Bronny to be on the team- he's pretty freaking awesome and has earned the right I guess to put him on the team if that's his thing. I'd probably do it for my kid if I was him and had the juice to do it.  Seems like fun.  My only issue with the whole thing is anybody publicly pretending that he's good or has earned the spot in some way.  The 15th dude doesn't matter so on some level who cares?  Just don't make it something it's not.

If Charlie sucks and is still shoved down our goddamn throats, then yes, he'll get the same treatment.

Legit projection? Or more of a "Bronny in the first round so I get more clicks" projection?

I average 6 pts and 2 bds in every summer league tournament I ever played in. If you asked nicely I would toss in a couple of assists.  I believe my ranking peaked around 5,000.

Somehow this is still probably better than Jordan’s kids.

Also I really don’t much care that we are carrying the 2028 G League MVP on the active roster at some point. It’s not like this team has any serious title aspirations. Might as well be entertaining in a humorous way if you are not going to be good.

I don't know what you guys are talking about. I just opened ESPN, and the video at the top of the page is titled, "Bronny James makes a slick move for his first Lakers points"

The enthusiastic fellatio performed by Reddick in the post game is really something. I guess that's one advantage of giving some dude off the street the coaching gig, he will say/do whatever LeBron wants

Quote

"As a coaching staff, before the game, as we were kind of going over our rotation matrix, we were talking about Bronny, and he's had some really good days in August and September," Redick said. "He's had three really good days this week. We're really happy with his progress."

Quote

"He can do some things defensively at his size that are really unique, and I think can turn into a really disruptive defender," Redick said. "That manifested itself. On the offensive end, he's still figuring out who he is. That's our job as a player development program just to build him in.

"But truthfully, he's so easy to coach. He's got a great soul and just a great energy about him. I like being around him. I'm rooting for him. He's a good player that we're happy to have in our program."

2 games

2 points
1-7 FG
.143 FG%
2 assists
3 rebounds
2 blocks
5 turnovers
3 fouls

yea but did you see that lay up? and also  that dribble hand off from father -> son last night? This ranks right up there next to the Griffeys

I hate this for the kid. LeBron already rehabbed his image with Captain America performance in the Olympics. He’s chasing a photo op. Dude we’ll take your word for it that you’re a good dad. There’s no need to stunt your son’s development.

All that said, this thing is so far down the tracks they might as well get their father - son moment in Game 1 and then send him down.

I've got to think if Bronny, at any point, said, "Dad, I'd like to stay in college at least another year," then he'd still be in college.

"Dad I want to go to college for architecture and work for a small firm out here in LA when I graduate."

"God DAMMIT son what did I tell you! You're going to play in the National Basketball Association and that's final!"

i can’t picture bonny standing up to his dad when this is clearly all his dad cares about. this has been his dad’s big plan for years now, and bronny, who surely worships his dad, isn’t going to crush his dad’s dream. bronny has no say in this, he’s just along for the ride.

Lol. Everyone in the comments is like "Well yeah he's the 55th pick! Of course he isn't going to be awesome right away!" acting like he isn't shitty by 55th pick standards.

Exactly. He is a shitty pick if you took him as any pick in this draft. They could have signed him as a undrafted player and sent him straight to G league. No fucking reason at all he should be on the preseason roster of the Lakers.
