When it's LA's turn they can convey the quintessential LA experience by putting all the athletes in cars on the 405 and have them sit in traffic.

If they dont rollerblade that torch down the boardwalk...

I’ve never been. It’s on my bucket list but to me this beats a closed in auditorium type thing. A lot went into this. Stunning shots of the city.

Shit. They better start seining the Seine for stiffs ...

I would agree if he didn't open the show.

Oh he did?  I missed the very beginning

Maybe the guy Vince Carter dunked on then?

Saw a little bit of the ceremonies when we were having lunch.  They had the vignette where the dancers were in the library, reading french classics, including some sexy ones.  I made a crack about how they'll probably have a menage a trois sequence.

And then they have an actual menage a trois sequence.

God I love the French.

Oh, and then running through the Louvre, past Winged Victory (my wife's favorite), and then The Magdalene with the Smoking Flame (my favorite)....just fucking cool.

Recorded it, will watch the whole thing tomorrow.  Just cool, and so damned French.

I throw Yannick Noah as a possible torch bearer. For the record he's someone that just comes to mind as a well known French athlete with a big following. I loved his tennis play too.

The cauldron should be lit by a young, sexy perfection Catherine Deneuve's cigarette, after which she turns back to look at you, smiles, and then walks away slowly.
