I believe that Cooper is our future
Teach him well and let him lead the way
Show him all the beauty he possess inside
Give him a sense of pride to make it easier
Let Cooper's laughter remind us how we used to be
Everybody searching for a hero
People need someone to look up to
I never found anyone who fulfill my needs
A lonely place to be
And so I learned to depend on me
I decided long ago
Never to walk in anyone's shadows
If I fail, if I succeed
At least I'll live as I believe
No matter what they take from me
They can't take away my dignity
Because the greatest love of all
Is happening to me
I found the greatest love of all
Inside of me
The greatest love of all
Is easy to achieve
Learning to love yourself
It is the greatest love of all

yep. the razor thin path to the playoffs died when they out-bungled the Bungles...

Yeah, but what would have happened.

As a lifelong fan of the Boys, the only thing I’m really surprised and broken up about is the Overshown injury. That dude has fun and is a winner- he is what Dallas hasn’t been in forever. But his damn knees. Damn luck.

Hard to tell just how shitty/mediocre this team is. I really thought this would be like a mini-Superbowl for the Panther who had been playing very well, getting their shit together. Instead they shit the bed and the Cowboys look almost borderline good with their backup qb and all the injuries.

I'm afraid Jerry may run it back with McCarthy.

The OLine is blocking pretty well, giving Rush some time on the progressions.

It doesn't matter about draft order, the GM is an idiot.

holy shit that was a dime

It is weird, they have graded better after all the injuries. Scrubs have outplayed some of the original starters.

of course he is.  it is that or take a chance on a younger guy.  He ain't gonna wait on all that.  he thinks if everyone is healthy he's good.

what he doesn't realize is Dak isn't good enough to pull McCarthy's ass out of the fire in the playoffs.

playing these shitty teams and winning with Cooper Rush isn't helping at all.  they might beat the bucs but likely will get drilled by Wash and Philly because the D is bad against any O with a pulse.

It would be hilarious if these scrubs won out and took the wildcard spot.   The quarter-billion QB could watch from home.

Injuries, schedule and experience.  Zack is sort of beaten down and his ankle was obviously killing him.  Got some young bucks who are some nasty guys.  Also, let's understand, the schedule was absolutely front-loaded.  It was always going to work out if we could survive and be able to be 5-5 or 4-6 and start a run, but then injuries happened.  Giants, Carolina, Bengals who have no defense, Commanders (not bad but young).  I think it's  great though we're learning guys like Bass and Brock Hoffman can play and are getting valuable reps.  Asim Richards somewhat too along with Beebe and Guyton.  The OL, which was pretty lousy to begin the season, with experience and reps, are going to end up being a glimmer of hope.  Possibly a above-average unit to start next year, but schedule has something to do with it.  Also, Rico Dowdle is proving he's a dude.  Maybe not a #1 but not a bad 1b or part of a committee.  He's run his ass off after Fat Thumb stopped fucking around with Zeke.  There is absolutely no reason to reach for a RB, specifically in the first round.  Deep draft for RBs this year.  Definitely should take a RB, but day 2 or early day 3 is fine.

I don’t understand why he wouldn’t.

You reversed Dak and McCarthy in your middle paragraph.

It’s not helping our draft status. But it is helping us see how valuable guys are along the DL, for OL development, and Liufau and secondary development. This D is a lot better than they were at the beginning of the season and I’m not sure why. And they already proved they can beat Wash. I expect them to win 2 of last 3.

The biggest mistakes this franchise made over the last 3 years were terrible trades (Cooper, Lance and Mingo, in that order), doing nothing in free agency from a WR and RB depth standpoint, and signing Dak to that contract. Dak and total lack of 2nd and 3rd receivers are the biggest weaknesses on this team, coaches included. If McCarthy finishes 8-9 after the shit sandwich he was provided by Jones and the injuries this team endured, it is a hell of a coaching job. He and Zimmer both.

Im surprised you haven’t bitched about penalty disparity. I’ve been waiting for it and am disappointed it didn’t come.

nah mccarthy needs his QB to bail him out like Rodgers did for so many years.

as to the penalties - considering 8 of the 14 were typical Dallas pre snap stupidity there wasn't that much disparity. Dallas has a lot of stupid players.  They called holding against both teams. The one hold against us they showed a replay on and it was legit.   Parsons was wrecking shop because Carolina wasn't or couldn't hold him.  The DPI's late were legit-ish.

that went out the window with the Bengals. 10-7 had a small chance.  9-8 seems basically zero to me just looking at records but I haven't seen percentages.

I’d think 10-7 would get in. 9-8 has a small chance.

I don’t think McCarthy is losing his job. Or at least it wouldn’t surprise me. It’s being discussed heavily in Dallas media. I do think MM has been a good coach, do think he’s done well to somewhat salvaging this season, and do think this board and others are ridiculous in their criticism of him. However, I don’t know how I feel about him being retained. Nobody outside of a Parcells type that can withstand Jerry for more than 5 years, that is given personnel autonomy is going to win big in Dallas. And we know the ego of a Jimmy or Parcells cannot coexist with Jerry for more than 3-4 years, and now really would never entertain accepting the Dallas job.

So all this goes back to, what’s the best alternative?  A young smart OC that would probably laugh at Jerry?  Yeah, that’d be preferable but it ain’t happening. MM is competent. If we are gonna change something I’d much rather it be QB than HC.

Ok say the Bravo Eugenia goes down. Does Captain Rex go with it?

Lets assume all kids and grandkids go down, and Veruca doesn’t wanna run the team, and Will McClay has indeterminate stewardship of the team. What do you do if you’re McClay?

The absolute failure to prepare for and/or adjust during last year's playoff game should have been the death knell. I hate him and his fat fucking face. No faith whatsoever that he's capable of any real success. I agree he'll be back because if he wasn't canned after that attrocity Jerry Jones absolutely will not fire him for failing to make the playoffs this year with the injuires, etc., especially since nobody legitimate would ever consider working for dumbfuck Jerry.Fat Mike has proven to suck absolute shit, so whatever. If we win a Super Bowl with him I'll eat crow (LOL).
