Does Witten want to be an NFL coach?  I mean if he wants to be an NFL coach it seems like he'd be an assistant somewhere and putting in his time rather than coaching high school.

My guess would be he wants to finish out coaching his 2 sons through high school.  Maybe Dallas is the only location he'd take an NFL job because he could see his kids play.

He should have been offered an asst position coaching role after he retired, like other former players have. I think having the opportunity to coach his kids may have been a factor in that not happening, at least after that awkward brief career in announcing that never should have happened.

I'm for anything different at this point. Another white bread old fuck aint gonna change anything.

I think the biggest problem with McCarthy was that almost his entire staff was old fucks that were somewhat detached from modern NFL trends.

Agree 100%, I want one of the new young up and comers, but I don't see them even considering working for Jerruh. Deion doesn't have the experience I'd like to see but anything new or different is better than the same old shit.

Better than same old shit? I did not know Jerrah was going to leave the building.

Because that’s really what fans want from their football team.

Hey, we can’t actually be good, so let’s just make it rasslin.

Nothing changes until Jerry is no longer breathing oxygen and even then we have his son to deal with. So sure, at least make it entertaining for me as a fan since the structure of this organization isn't changing. But ultimately, this is just BS to get Jerry some headlines before he unveils his next disappointment and Deion some leverage for more money out of Colorado.

I'm not sure. I think an ambitious young gun would be more likely to jump at a chance to coach the Cowboys than an experienced veteran coach that better knows what he would be up against. But it's really more up to different strokes different folks.

Part of Deion’s contract will be that he’s allowed to forfeit if they’re playing whichever team drafts his son.

You're assuming that we wouldn't trade the entirety of the next two drafts to move up to #1 and take Shedeur.

And THIS is all it's really about...

Jerruh will drag this to the SB if he can and maybe after.  He'd announce it at Half time so the entire 2nd half is spent talking about it.

BTW I'm in team "fuck it" and bring in Deion for the circus. Go full tilt.

BUT the only way that works is if Deion can get a real OC and DC in here.  Maybe Zimmer would stay(if people don't hate that) for Deion for a year.

Now you’re getting it. This is about asses in the seats, eyeballs on the TV, and merchandise sales. It’s Ric Flair going to WWE in 1991 on a grand scale. The Cowboys as a franchise and Deion as a public figure are as polarizing as they come, but like wrestling promoters have always known, Jerry knows that whether you cheer them on or want to see them get their asses kicked, your money spends just as good either way.

Give me Prime. Or anybody that will find a way to exit Dak.

Ya'll gotta stop dreaming this shit. Even IF they want to get rid of him, it's at least 2 years before they can.  Not just because of his no trade, the cap hit would not just be bad, but cripple them...

He's here till the end of 2026 at least.

And as the Dak guy here, believe me I WISH he could go elsewhere and get away from this clown show.

JJ and Prime just doing each other a solid. Deion fishing for a bigger contract at CU, Jerry getting massive doses of clickbait pub.

CU may not bite

One thing to watch following Jerry Jones and his initial discussions with Deion Sanders. Two people with knowledge of the situation tell me Sanders approached Colorado AD Rick George Tuesday about additional money for NIL and his staff. He was met with resistance. The University of Colorado would neither confirm or deny the information when I reached out. Deion Sanders didn’t respond when reached multiple times for comment.

ESPN loves talking about the Cowboys and Deion.  They will fan the flames as long as possible.

Like I said i'm fully on board with it cause...fuck it. Why not at this point.

But I absolutely believe Jerry will run this into the ground as long as he can.

This motherfucker looks like a winner. Success at SMU and elsewhere.

Has a big, in your face, kinda nose. From Ark.

This is what you want if you're looking for a young up n comer.

Prior to UConn, Lashlee helped Auburn to the 2013 SEC Championship, a BCS Championship berth and the 2016 Sugar Bowl, managing one of the more prolific offenses in college football during his tenure. The 2013-14 seasons were the best back-to-back offensively in Auburn history, and the 2014 squad set an Auburn record for total offense. Lashlee also served as the quarterbacks coach and demonstrated impressive ability to develop talent. In 2013, Auburn had the second biggest turnaround in college football history. Starting QB Nick Marshall did not practice until August, but Lashlee tutored the junior college transfer to 3,044 yards of total offense (1,976 passing, 1,068 rushing), 14 TD passes and 12 rushing TDs.
