Did he have his plastic surgeon reinstall his tear ducts for that scene, or did they have to use an eye dropper? I wasn't all that sure I'd watch the show but I'm out now, I'd probably have broken my tv when that piece of shit showed up.

jerry's always been a crier.  do you even follow the team?

My feeling, based on nothing but my feeling, is that Jerry probably prefers to keep McCarthy, but on a short term deal, say 2-years, maybe 3, that wouldn't be that painful to piss away if he decides to cut bait during or after next season. He has injuries and the transition to the new defense as excuses, and the team showing some backbone as lame ducks as support for their coach.

McCarthy may not be willing to take a deal like that. All the rumored interest in his services by other bottom feeding teams with vacancies may be legit, or not. The teams that are showing interest are some of the biggest dumpsterfires, so he probably prefers to stay, which gives Jerry a little leverage in negotiation.

There's no reason to give the Bears or anyone else permission to speak with McCarthy. It's only another week or so before he can do whatever TF he wants. Meanwhile, the Cowboys can kick the tires on other available coaches behind the scenes.

If they bring him back, I would hope they bring in some better training wheels, like offensive coaching talent that bring more imagination to the offense, maybe some much better scouting in certain areas where they tend to suck ass. A potential younger head coach in waiting prospect would be nice, too. The staff is too damn old and out of date.

I don't get the "Sark to the NFL" story line for any team.

They get enamored with dudes that can create offense. Remember, this is the same league that gave Kingsbury a HC gig.

Kingsbury can coach the fuck outta the QB.  It's just that Sark is in a destination job.  Every advantage.  On the precipice of a championship.  To Putt's point, it would just have to be an absolute disdain for the business( recruiting) of college football.

and that stellar alternative is working for Jerry Jones?  LOLz.  No way.

The things he’s good at. His gameday decisions leave a lot to be desired, which is the job in the NFL.

He’d crush tons of coed pussy… I don’t see him succeeding as HC at collegiate level given that he allegedly loathes recruiting

Why not? Tons of other NFL HCs do.

Kingleberry is a dingleberry that couldn't coach his way out of a paper bag. He got lucky to be in the qb room when Johnny Football was making shit up on the fly.

This. I can see any NFL job being preferable to even the best CFB jobs with the shitshow that is currently college football’s permanent free agency.

Fuck that shit. Jerry's just trying to steal UT's limelight because his loser Cowboys didn't make the playoffs. Sark isn't dumb enough to leave Texas for that shit show in Dallas.

Hire Deion, Jerry.

jerry’s not saying it.  slapdick mike greenberg is saying it and greeny knows as much about texas football as I do about high school softball in the pacific northwest.  you guys are just bored and disillusioned by our 29th failed season in a row.  sark isn’t going to fucking dallas and it’s fucking ridiculous to even mention it.  something something my brother’s kids… nerve-racking sons of bitches.

If Sark were to take the Cowboy HC job, that would make him a dumbass and we'd be better off w/out him.

This is true.

this.  he is never giving up play calling.  I love the people arguing for him to hire a playcaller.  that will never happen.

Bye bitch. I think the Chicago thing is that they were still negotiating, headline says couldn't agree on term. Jerry (hopefully) pushing for shorter, Mike wanting a long deal despite being a complete loser. He'll probably get a cushy deal from a loser franchise like Chicago. And yes, while I'm happy he's gone, I'm more than aware that Jerry's next hire will just be another washed up incompetent yes man, so I'm not sure why I even care at this point. They'll probably just promote Zimmer's ancient ass.
