Dallas Cowboys 2024 Season Thread -- Jerrah the Asshat Rides Again

I read 231m of his contract is guaranteed does injury affect that? Or at least the cap impact?

Nope.  Injury in most of these contracts accelerates the guarantee to a full deal.  Tua’s contract is only fully guaranteed if he is injured out of the league.  The guarantee if cut for cause only gives him two years.

The guarantee here is nuts.  It’s a $240 mill contract. Typically the guarantee would have been $180-200.  Instead Jerry wanted to give him $1 mil more than Watson.  Todd France bent Jerry over and opened him like a shotgun and prison raped him.  That jerrymentia all over again.

just think how different things would be if he was playing out his contract.  Hurt, coming off surgery…Jerry probably gives him a $260 mill contract.

At least the Cooper Rush era 2024 started out with a completion..... after that, well, yea.

Not sure why we don't start Lance and see if anyone will sign him in the offseason.  Get a Comp pick.

The defense is still shitty.

Yep, they should start Lance. At least get some value out of that pick before he's gone, while also bettering their draft position.

Cowboys have probably gone against more of these "tush pushes" than any team in NFL history, yet remain the absolute worst at defending it.

Maybe invest heavily in some interior defensive line, other than shitty first round reaches for a bust? That would be a nice change of pace since the freakin' 90s.
