They have reached the point of not even pretending to be honest. The other side (literally everyone who is not MAGA and including the MSM) does not deserve to be told the truth. The truth for MAGA is whatever he and his chosen mouthpieces utter.

They are counting on eking out an EC victory and then never having another fair election

The rhetoric is just going to get worse over the next 50 days. I just hope Biden has the courage to do what needs to be done if things turn violent

She’s doing quite well, pretty impressive.  She’s speaking well, campaigning well, she’s doing everything it takes to win.  So you know what you guys do when she gets to the White House?  You pat her on the back, say congratulations, and tell her not to serve curry.  Or collard greens or whatever the hell she serves…. Ok?  Got it

JD Vance is such a racist sack of shit. A biracial black/Indian woman would only be eating fried chicken or curry? Good lord.

In JV's binary world, people are only allowed to eat food that matches ethnic stereotypes. And since his own poor kids are biracial white/Indian, the couchfucker forces them to rotate meals between vindaloo for some nights and bologna/mayo sandwiches on Wonderbread for others. There are no other choices.

Now yall got me thinking about a meal of curry, fried chicken, and watermelon, prepared by an illegal immigrant…and that just sounds f’n great. Sign me up. Shit, add some Haitian food, and we’re at perfection.

I work with a few Haitians. Just like most of the Gambians I work with they are also hard working yet pleasant to talk to. They just want a better life. Seeing these intellectually bankrupt cretins trash immigrants is a blight on our society.

Four years ago I had preached patience in trying to reintegrate these maga people back into society. The 1938 Neville Chamberlain route if you will. Now I want to go full blown Roosevelt in 1943 at Casablanca and offer nothing to them but their complete capitulation. Do not stop until these people and their racist ideas are completely eradicated from American society. I would gladly take a tax increase to relocate all of maga to Russia and Belarus. Just be done with these hateful people for good and get some people in this country that belong here.

Here are some scouting tape of Vance in debate mode

(2022 vs. Tim Ryan)

At 10:30 JD Vance answers a question about Abortion. Wordy before he actually answers it, makes clear he supports a national abortion ban at "some minimum national standard" and uses the pejorative term "elective abortion."

At 13:50 JD Vance addresses the 10 year old rape victim in the context of abortion exceptions. "Why was a ten year old girl raped in the first place" (illegal alien). He gets angry, quick flappable.

At 33:45 JD Vance is asked about what "something meaningful" means when an immigrant contributes. He claims he was personally affected by illegal immigration because his mom was an addict. Never answers the question directly except arguably by alluding to something Tom Cotton said or did.

At 47:57 JD Vance is asked if Trump has done anything that concerns him. As you might expect, he gives a non-answer then attacks Tim Ryan for voting to impeach Trump and calls Merrick Garland corrupt.

It's not hard to get him to show his true colors.

(2022 vs. Tim Ryan)

At 15:20 JD Vance is asked about the national abortion ban issue, fond of throwing accusations to Ryan, and again pivots to blaming illegal immigrants and complaining about the media for not making the Ohio rape story about illegal immigration. Doesn't really want to discuss abortion, it seems. He strongly suggests he's okay with a 4 week limit and criticizes Ryan for criticizing Lindsey Graham's national abortion ban.

At 48:30 you start to see the origins of JD Vance using his Indian wife as sort of a shield from racism allegations and to use her family as some kind of example for "good" immigrants who came legally (which could be true but I doubt anyone has truly investigated if everything they said in their paperwork was 100% accurate).

At 50:58 Vance tries to interrupt Ryan, once again you can see the body language and irritation percolating after hearing he stokes racial violence with MTG causing the Buffalo shooting. He really doesn't like being linked to Great Replacement Theory, even invoking his "beautiful biracial babies" as somehow disproving his support for the great replacement theory.

Someone in Reddit succinctly summarized why Vance was picked for VP and why he's now a liability.

https://old.reddit.com/r/changemyview/comments/1fj4ynw/cmv_jd_vance_being_the_chosen_vp_was_one_of_the/lnly3hi/

Ok here we go, I am going to defend the Rs and JD Vance (well kinda TLDR at the end).

JD Vance was an incredible brilliant pick at the time. JD Vance (Im talking about the 2020-2024 JD Vance here not the old one) had a couple of pro's and a couple of cons.

PROs

1) Trump desperately and I mean desperately needed money in May of 2024. Look at the cash on hand metrics here https://ballotpedia.org/Presidential_election_campaign_finance,_2024. JD Vance was able to give him a large influx of cash from his very very close connections to Peter Thiel (Billionare former CEO of Paypal and huge in the silicon valley world). This connection also allowed Trump to form a bond with one Elon Musk, which allowed him back into the non exclusively right wing social network sphere, get a bunch of desperately needed funds, and have a very vocal and influential member of society in his corner. I want to make clear here, there were a bunch of reports that the money that came in June was from silicon valley and the tech sector, signaling the pick, but admiditly the bump from Jun-July is smaller. JD Vance did bring in a bunch of money but he may not have been the only thing causing that bump.

2) Trump liked JD Vance, because JD Vance is an ass kisser. JD Vance became a valued member of MAGA especially in the leadup to the 2022 election, where he doubled down on the MAGA base in Ohio and won an election to the senate (more on this later). Alignment and fealty to Trump are super important.

3) JD Vance is an attack dog in the media. He is very good at barbed language and speaking in an authoritative way. He is also not the worst spin doctor. You have to remember, the R's were running against Joe Biden. Joe Biden was a weak candidate, and there is a base part of the human psyche that prefers our leaders to be strong. Thats what Trump gives to a lot of people, the appearance of strength. The Republicans thought if they nominate an attack dog to make Biden look weak, they could cruise to an election win with Trump having the advantage at the time anyway.

4) JD Vance is heavily, heavily involved in project 2025. He wrote the forward for Kevin Roberts' (Project 2025 Architect) new book The Heritage foundation was instrumental in getting Vance on the ticket, with the articles I have read mentioning that if Trump were to go down for 1 reason or another, Heritage wanted one of "their guys" to step into the presidential slot. The heritage foundation donors are also huge donors to the GOP so, more money and keeping their side happy.

CONs

1) People dont really like him. The untold part about the 2022 senate election was that the race was far far closer than it should have been (see I did come back). I want to give some credit to Tim Ryan for that, but it really really shouldn't have been that close, from what I understand due to some really poor debate performances and people in general not getting great vibes off him (people of Ohio please correct me if I am wrong as to why the underperformance). One of the old political adages is that VP picks don't really matter unless they are uniquely bad, so people not liking him was probably seen as something that doesn't really matter to the race.

2) He has always said stupid out of touch things, due to the groups that he has associated with through the years. Lets go back to the Peter Theil and Elon Musk thing. The reason they are in his corner is thats his group of people, thats his circle. See all the weird shit Elon says? That's the people he has been surrounded with since 2017. Against Biden, not a huge deal, as he would have silicon valley behind him, and they were already ahead. Plus making up lies? Who cares if your opponent is to old to respond to them.

So that being said, JD Vance was a brilliant pick for about 6 days, until July 21st 2024, when Joe Biden dropped out of the race.

Kamala being picked immediately neutralized Pro 3, as the "attack dog" mantra doesn't work against a "strong" appearing candidate former DA Kamala Harris. Pro 1 Was neutralized when the race turned and all of a sudden Peter Theil doesn't want to risk it anymore, especially with the Democrats recent crackdown on monopolistic practices in then tech sector. And now that 1 and 3 are gone, Donald has also turned on him because he isn't useful anymore. As for pro 4, the public has woken up to Project 2025 and its disastrous consequences, and is holding it as a major con around his neck.

So now were only left with the 2 cons, 1 pro turned con, and a shit VP candidate.

TLDR: He was a great pick at the time, but the Biden drop out ruined him as a candidate and now they are stuck with him. Lol

Doing edits down here:

Edit 1: Clarified that the money may not have all came from JD

Edit 2: Added carification around why Con1 isnt a huge deal

Edit 3: Thanks /u/CoffeeIs4Closers, added Project 2025 to this explanation

God bless this cat's strong survival instincts. But you have to know, if elected, Harris will not only take your guns, but she'll take your pets and a case of curry sauce and give them to illegal immigrants who had transgender sex changes and that's just the beginning of the downfall of what is becoming a third world country." - probably Vance's position

A little clarification on those posts: it wasn't two later that the cat was found, it was two weeks ago.  So Miss Sassy Pants was found a few days before Mr. Shitty Pants was talking about it in a nationally televised debate.

The Trump campaign was told the racist lies about Springfield weren't true BEFORE Trump's debate: A Vance staffer called Springfield City Manager Bryan Heck. Heck told the staffer the rumors were false. But Vance had already posted about them — and kept doing so after his staffer's conversation with Heck. Trump amplified the lies the next night.

Vance complains about Democrats using "fascist". Trump uses it often.

Spoiler

Senator JD Vance of Ohio pointed blame at some Democrats’ labeling of former President Donald J. Trump as a “fascist” for fomenting violence against him, ignoring his running mate’s repeated use of the same word to attack Vice President Kamala Harris.

In a speech on Monday in Georgia, Mr. Vance said that Mr. Trump’s political opponents had crossed a line with their language, which he suggested had played a role in what the authorities are investigating as an assassination attempt directed at Mr. Trump while he was golfing in Florida on Sunday.

“Look, we can disagree with one another, we can debate one another, but we cannot tell the American people that one candidate is a fascist and, if he’s elected, it is going to be the end of American democracy,” Mr. Vance said at a Georgia Faith & Freedom Coalition dinner.

Mr. Trump has called Ms. Harris a “fascist” on at least five occasions, including at a rally on Thursday in Arizona and during a news conference on Friday near Los Angeles.

“She’s a Marxist, communist, fascist, socialist,” Mr. Trump said in Tucson, Ariz.

At the dinner on Monday, Mr. Vance said that “no one has tried to kill Kamala Harris in the last couple of months.” The vice president has been the target of violent threats while in office.

The incident on Sunday, in which Mr. Trump was not harmed, comes just over two months after he was grazed on his right ear by gunfire during a campaign rally in Butler, Pa.

Mr. Vance also mentioned remarks last year by Representative Daniel Goldman, Democrat of New York, calling for Mr. Trump to be “eliminated,” a comment that Mr. Goldman, a Harris ally, apologized for at the time.

“I’d say that’s pretty strong evidence that the left needs to tone down the rhetoric and needs to cut this crap out,” Mr. Vance said.

Steven Cheung, a campaign spokesman for Mr. Trump, stood by the former president’s use of the word when asked for comment on Wednesday.

“As President Trump correctly points out, Kamala Harris is a radical leftist, Marxist, communist and fascist because she is hell bent on destroying America by continuing her disastrous policies that have hurt people all across the country,” Mr. Cheung said. Mr. Trump has also called for Democrats to tone down their speech, using his own harsh language to do so.

A spokesman for Mr. Vance did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Wednesday.
