Hopefully, WV makes the finals of that Gulf Coast tournament or else this non-conference schedule will be a snooze fest outside of ND.

12/14 or 13/14 games will likely be blowouts dependent on if WV makes the finals of that tournament.

Don’t forget we have Maryland in the 2025 portion of the schedule

We are doing well offensively without a 3 point shooting threat and Moore having a really slow start to the year. She better be careful or we will be starting the 4 guard lineup or Carlton will take her spot. I like what I see from Carlton a lot

This defense travels, so we are going to be in a lot of games when we have poor shooting nights

The thing about 3 point shooting, is yeah we aren’t making many 3s but we aren’t attempting many 3s. Until teams can keep us out of the midrange and paint we aren’t going to jack 3s.

Are we a poor 3 point shooting team or just a team that scores better at other levels? We won’t find that out until a few teams go more zone against us.

Not just zone, but when we encounter teams who can match our size and neutralize our inside game of Jones/Oldacre.  Our guards are going to have to hit outside shots to soften up the inside.

WV has 6'4, 6'3, 6'3, 6'3 up front, so that will be a good first test
ND has 6'3, 6'5, 6'3, 6'4 up front
Maryland has 6'2, 6'2, 6'2, 6'2, 6'3, 6'2, 6'6 up front

And Texas has to contend with the likes of 6'3 Culliton, 6'4 Johnson, 6'2 Scott and 6'4 Beers at OU, 6'5 Wolfenbarger, 6'6 Del Rosario, 6'1 Morrow at LSU, 6'3 Watkins, 6'3 Edwards, 6'5 Tac, 6'2 Kitts, 6'3 Feagan, 6'4 Dauda at South Carolina, 6'2 Gaston, 6'4 Milton, 6'5 Akinbalawa, 6'4 Scott, 6'5 Thurman at Auburn, etc.

Retinal detachment, said someone on HF

According to Vic during yesterday's post-game interview, Phelia was hit in the jaw during practice Tuesday so they kept her out of the game as a precaution. She should be good to go during their Thanksgiving tournament.

I think transfers have a bit of a culture shock coming here. It’s a different level physicality that they aren’t prepared for.

Some of it is just bad luck - Phelia getting hit in the jaw and missing some games/early PT, the Sonya Morris thigh injury

We should be challenged in the championship game at this upcoming tournament. WV is pretty good. They've been destroying everybody including a couple power conference opponents.

Is FloSports the only platform showing the games? I aint paying for flosports so I'll just scoreboard watch if so

South Carolina will still be good but think people are coming to the realization of how good Cardoso was. Their offense ran through her last year.

And defensively, Betts is really affecting all the interior play for SoCar. Not getting easy looking

aggy is dog water. Down 16 in the 4th quarter to Ball State.

They have to be one of the worst power conference teams in the country.

Exhibit A of her being a meh hire was that she got Barker to follow her to aggy and then couldn't keep her there. Aggy NIL for WBB must be god awful.

They've lost to TAMUCC by 6, WV by 21, Villanova by 8 and Ball State by 13.  They still play 2 more P4 teams in non-conf - Syracuse and KState.  They might be the worst in the SEC, and are currently dead last at 3-4

Kyndall Hunter has played in 7 games, started 1 - 5.7 ppg, 37% from the field, 28% from three, 1.6 rbg, 9 assists to 14 turnovers

Yeah, they won't win more than a couple games in the SEC.

Joni Taylor is 31-37 (8-24 in the SEC) at aggy. It's about to get worse this year. I don't know what her contract looks like but I see no way she's surviving past this season.
