Damn, Richmond got Texas and Tennessee to play them at their place. That coach must be very well liked.

EDIT—their game with Tennessee is neutral site, well damn

Still played OKST neutral (tournament), hosted Texas and then Tenn/Alabama back-to-back neutral (tournament)

This freshman class is unbelievably good. They can all significantly contribute on the number 6 team in the nation.

The future is very bright.

Yeah, Preston is better than expected. Everyone knew Lee and Carlton were legit.

Athleticism makes up for a lot of deficiencies in other areas. Preston's quickness is next level.

Sometimes I think Jak is never going to get it and then she surprises with a really nice move.

Jak wants to play like a 2 or 3 but she doesn’t have the shot or the handle for it. She looks best on the block, but she’s too slight against teams that can put real size on her.

Harmon, Preston, Lee, Crump (#5 recruit), and maybe Chavez (#1 recruit). I just hope somebody like Preston doesn't leave if we land Chavez.

Wonder if Harmon with the extra year hurt our chances for Chavez. Seemed like we were the top choice but she didn't sign early like she was done with the process.

Seems like she is a "Fee"nom.

Would love to get her but I think we are good as is. Just would like her to stay out of the SEC.

I'm a big Preston fan.

That was a beatdown. Not often you see a team receiving votes in the polls get demolished like that.

46 point win against a team RV. 3rd game at 100+ points and 9th game over 90 points.

One last tuneup before SEC play - RGV on 12/29

That beatdown knocked us into #1 in NET

SoCar 2
ND 6
OU 9
LSU 11
WV 14
Alabama 17
Ole Miss 20
Tenn 21
Maryland 22
Miss St 26
Kentucky 31
Richmond 36
SDSU 44
Auburn 45

We still have a lot of quality games left on our schedule

I did not predict that on December 23, 2 of our non-conf games are ranked in the top 14 (ND/WV), a third is top 25 (Maryland) and 2 more are top 50 (Richmond/SDSU)

Turned out to be a saltier non-conf schedule.  We don't have to schedule out of conference like UConn does (UNC, Ole Miss, Louisville, ND, SC, Iowa State, Tenn, SoCar) because we face an SEC schedule that is pretty darn tough with SoCar twice, LSU, OU, Alabama, Ole Miss, Tenn, Miss St, Kentucky, Auburn all in the top 50.

We don't have all the luxury of a shitty Big East schedule.

Accordinto Vic it was probably the only way we could get OOC teams scheduled.

Well next year, Texas will play 3 legit games in Vegas in that NIL tournament, including a non-conf matchup with SoCar, and we host whichever ACC challenger we get in the SEC-ACC challenge, since we were @ ND this year. Hopefully it's either ND again, Louisville, Stanford or NCST, though I would not be opposed to Georgia Tech and Nell Fortner comin back to Austin.  That would be fun.

Next year's schedule should feature aggy and OU making return trips to Austin, as well as Johnnie Harris and Auburn coming back to Austin, and our ACC challenge opponent.  So already 4 good matchups.  aggy sucks, but it's still the rivalry, Vic used to coach there, etc.  Hopefully Vic can get another good non-conf opponent to come in.  I wonder if we will do a neutral site in Texas versus Maryland, since we play them in Newark, NJ.  Maybe we can get something in Dallas or Houston

I think it's a lot easier to sell if we stick with this small 3 guard lineup.
