Texas bounces back, 74-57 over Auburn on the road

Booker 22, Harmon 20

18 for Gaston

Gaston's final line hardly reflected the full game. She got a lot of her points in garbage time. Despite poor shooting and lackluster D in the second half, we never were seriously threatened. Nice to see Booker start hot, though she cooled off later. All in all, a decent bounceback from Sunday.

Vic seems to be back to running the old guard big minutes. Can't say I disagree, the freshman have looked like more like freshman in conference play, the staff seems to be watching who is producing and giving them the minutes.

Would be nice to have Moore or Carlton producing points, but those two are struggling.

Hope everyone shows up ready to go on Monday for a little national exposure redemption, going to be another tough lift against #8 Maryland.

I know. She had like 4 points in the first half, with foul trouble, and sat out most of the 3rd with foul trouble. She put in work against our backups in the 4th when we were up 20

One thing I took away from Auburn - Johnnie’s team play out of control. Physical, but quite out of control. Led to the fouling us a lot - 24-14 in fouls

You can tell she’s a Vic protege - both teams combined for only 15 3PA.

Maryland will likely face Texas without one of its most important players in Bri McDaniel.
The 5'10" guard suffered an injury to her right knee in the team’s win against Minnesota Tuesday.

Texas dropped to 3rd in NET, most likely due to UConn beating up a bunch of hapless teams while we had Sunday off (due to a Monday contest).

Good Quad 1 opportunity today (Maryland #20 at a neutral site)

Is this game really going to be aired on FOX? The Baylor UCLA game was also supposed to be aired on FOX but it has been inauguration coverage.

I was watching it on fox earlier?

I hate how refs officiate Oldacre just because she's bigger.

The last 2 possessions of the 1st quarter she was hacked with no call. Now she gets physical because she's frustrated and they're probably going to upgrade this foul.

Not upgraded.
