That game in Lexington is going to be a chore, isn’t it.

Stop Amoore, you win. Easier said than done

Not a foul

Big girl makes a move, another girl hits the floor - foul on the big girl

Oh yeah, that’s an offensive foul lol

Rori’s shot looks so much better. You can tell this team all felt like ass on Thursday

51-36 Texas after 3

Not sure Jak knew she had to put it up lol

Offensive strategy is interesting. Instead of running the dribble weave like they’ve done so much, they’re passing around the perimeter until there’s a passing lane to the ft line or baseline cut.

let’s not let them get close enough to feel sporty.

Js1, Ias you know, have much respect for your knowledge of women's sports, but, and I might be wrong, but I just don't see us beating SC.   I think we are going to have trouble with LSU also.  I thought at the beginning of the year we would challenge for 1st in the SEC, but I just think SC is just too stout for us.   And until I see Booker have a decent game against a highly ranked opponent, I question we can beat the SCs, and the Notre Dames of women's basketball.   Hope I am wrong though

When Jak plays under control she's such a positive addition to the rotation. It means Booker does not have to guard the other team's best wing or PF. Jak can chase that player around all game. She's also a really good rebounder.

Moore and Carlton don't have the positional flexibility to do that when they're the 4.

Big difference between playing those types of teams on the road versus home/neutral court.

ND and South Carolina are 21-0 at home. Let's see how they fare against us who are also 11-0 at home.

Moody is gonna be ROCKING for both games. That’s for sure

SoCar will be hard but Massey only has SoCar 57% in Austin (66-70). Texas 68% at home against LSU (77-70)

Massey thinks we finish SEC play 14-2. Beating both LSU and Kentucky, which would cement 2nd place

Key is to finish and be seeded 2nd or 3rd for the SEC tournament - double bye and avoid SoCar until the finals.

I think we've won 18 in a row at Moody?

We are not easy to beat at home.

Last home loss was the OU game last year without Rori and before that, the 2nd round loss to Louisville

The thing we've learned on offense is that when teams sag in that zone it doesn't mean we have to force-feed Taylor Jones when the other team is doing everything they can to defend her.

Find open spots in the middle of the zone or on the wing with Jak, Holle, and Booker.

The way we would try to force the ball inside at times was maddening.

Lee and Moore too. We have so many who can hit the mid range against the zone

A little concerned Rori played 34 minutes and Booker 38 with Lee only playing 17, Preston 10 and Carlton 1 minute. Seems a bit lopsided with a 20 point win.

Preston is going to be so good.

1-1 from the field today with 4 assists in 10 minutes. She's also an insane on-ball defender. For such a spark plug type player, she's really under control and efficient. I know you have to take somebody like Chavez but I'm going to be sick if we scare Preston off.

She's going to be an all-SEC type player in the near future.

Preston is a 1, Chavez is a 2. Let her shoot, let Preston facilitate

The issue is if Harmon returns. They're playing Preston at the 2 when Harmon is the PG.

That Harmon PG and Preston at the 2 lineup is creating a lot of mismatches in limited minutes. Other teams do not have a 2 guard that can stay in front of Preston on the wing when she gets isolated.

I would love to see the +- with Harmon and Preston together. I bet it's insane.

If Harmon returns, it’s only for a year. I’m curious what her WNBA draft grade is. How far do we have to advance in March for her to feel satisfied she can leave?

(I never want her to leave, for the record)

Harmon, Preston, Chavez, booker, tall girl.

At least against teams that can’t go real big.

but I know there are plenty more talented players that will be on the team next year. Hope Vic can figure out a nice rotation and not feel the need to play his starters 35 minutes.

That’s the thing, though. Vic has a hard time  trusting newbies no matter how well they play. See Preston and Lee as examples. That’s why I’m concerned with the minutes the starters are playing now when there are capable backups. Those minutes have a cumulative effect over the course of a season. Don’t know the answer to this. Just noteworthy in my view.

Sitting at 8-1 in SEC play through 9 games, with 7 left

Vandy
SoCar
@ UK
LSU
@ Georgia
@ MSST
Florida

Minimum, we need to finish this stretch 5-2

7-0 or 6-1 puts us in contention for a 1 seed (likely head to head against USC) - we'd have wins @ OU, @ Ole Miss, Alabama, Maryland (neutral), WV (neutral) and some combination of SoCar/LSU/@UK

5-2 would likely keep us where we are (a high 2 seed)

Barring some sort of 7-0 finish to the season and running through the SEC tournament, I do fear our ceiling is probably the best #2 seed, because the resumes of UCLA, USC, SoCar and ND are so much better than ours.

The real key to a 1 seed is winning the SoCar/LSU games AND the SEC tournament, which is a tough task.

Just for the love of God, give us a 2 seed in Birmingham (SoCar/ND) and not Spokane (UCLA/USC).

Is any aggy seriously thinking our coach is a possible Taylor replacement? I know they're still feeling the burn from the Schloss departure, but this sounds like major fantasy even for those jokers. 🤣

Lol Vic didn’t even take the call from aggy when Blair retired. He isn’t stupid.

And if we land AC, he’s not leaving a generational talent to go coach aggy
