Rori should be way better than the out of control dribbling and lazy passing and whatever that falling down shot with 15 on the clock was.

team is surely not playing like the #1 team right now.  Should be outclassing this level of team each quarter, with the final margin reflecting that.

Phew. Didn’t want to blow a chance at another SEC trophy.

Holle wanted to be part of the inaugural team to win the SEC. MVP of the game

Very disappointed in her. Made a couple threes but was sloppy with the ball. We aren’t blowing out the team we should, so she’s having to play too much.

Blink and FSU blew that 10 point lead so fast

Vic needs to play Preston more minutes.

32 minutes and 37 minutes in 4 days for Rori. You can always tell when she's gassed. She's guarding the best guard all those minutes too.

Yep. But if we keep playing offense like this, it’s hard to get Preston in and Rori out, barring foul trouble. Gotta figure out how to get Rori 10-15 min of rest per game

We didn’t look our best but we’ve taken out 28 teams with very few stumbles. We have not lost to any team we were supposed to beat.

I’ll take it.

Hell of a year.

Yeah, I think we take wins like this for granted.

Miss State is a tournament team and it was on the road. You're going to have play some close games in this conference.

It was their Super Bowl too. #1 Texas AND Vic’s return. They haven’t forgotten

I actually was surprised it wasn’t a bigger crowd, but it has been 5 years.

Mississippi State folks were trying to say they were a better program than Texas but couldn’t grasp the difference between “programs” and “teams” (just like A&M can’t grasp this either).

Well last time I checked, the ncaa tournament is a series of 2 games in 3 days. So best to figure it out now before that starts, because after the first weekend you won’t be getting outclassed teams.

Teams are leaving her wide open in the zone.

If she just starts making a couple 3s the zone doesn't work at all.

Btw she took a shot off an inbound late when the shot clock had reset to 20 after a msu foul.  Poor decision unless it was a called play, and good thing she made it.

That is typically a drawn up play. She’s scores on it quite a bit.

yeah but it will be that way for both teams.

Miss State had an extra day off before playing us and they've been sitting at home. The regular season schedule is just weird because sometimes teams get more time off.

I actually think the 2 games in 3 days favors us with our ball pressure/physicality if we both have the same time off.

I am once again confused why we played on a Monday after having a whole week off and a Thursday/Sunday turnaround coming up. It should have been Sunday/Thursday/Sunday.

yeah the SEC schedule is just weird. I don't really understand it.

We've been disadvantaged a few times this year but I'm sure we're not the only team. Made no sense for us not to play Sunday.

Oh and if you missed it, my nemesis Courtney Lyle was carrying Dawn’s water, crying about how unfair the potential coin toss for the #1 seed in the SECT is.

Is it to show more games on secn?

With South Carolina pulling away from Ole Miss, this was 100% a necessary win for a shared SEC title. Ole Miss was their best chance for a loss in the final 2 games

But we still have to bring it at home Sunday against Florida

What was her suggestion?

Aggregate score between the two teams or total points scored in the conference season or literally anything but an “unfair” coin flip

Where applicable, I figured she'd want to go with whichever team has a female coach.

I hope we don't get Alabama in the Sweet 16. I know we blew them out but they've only lost a few games with Barker healthy.

That team is really underrated IMO and think they're going to upset somebody in the NCAA tournament. They have some really quick guards and Barker is capable of going off on any given night. Cody is also a pretty good big.

I was working. Recap of the game? W but 4 points isn't a lot against an outmatched MST team.

Teams are starting to figure out how to defend us - pack the paint or play zone and force us to hit shots. We struggle to do that. Some bad and uncharacteristic turnovers contributed.

Maybe a bit of a letdown game. They weren't exactly playing for a lot tonight. (I mean they were playing for a conference title - maybe a weird game to get up for is what I mean)

This is one of those seasons where an early SECT exit might be nice. Let them get some rest and reload and then open a can of whoop ass on the field.

Is the conference title shared? (no duh it is - dumb question I guess)

I couldn't watch the game tonight, but the Rori shooting stat is wild. She shot 20% from 2pt range, but 66.7% from 3 pt range. wut

We are still playing for a shared title and #1 seed in the SECT and NCAAT

We also have a double bye - we do not play until March 7. We get 4 days of rest before the tournament. The first round of the NCAAT is March 21-22. The SEC is good about giving teams 2 weeks off between the conf and NCAA tournament.

If Texas and South Carolina finish 15-1, they share the regular season title. A coin flip by Sankey decides who is #1 in the tournament only

Yeah I edited my comment after realizing they were playing for the conference title.

They just needed to win and they did. Surprised to see it was that close.
