Is he implying that it is league jealousy that had LSU getting voted up and Texas players getting snubbed? If so, I agree. If not, well, that's what I think and I'm still confused by his last sentence. I feel like we saw this in CFB as well. These hillbillies and rednecks don't like Texas coming into the conference and immediately being elite in a sport. Sucks for the players, but I do find the envy entertaining.

On an SEC board (forget which one) I casually mentioned Texas fans are fine with losing the coin flip and being on LSU's side of the bracket. That triggered some bayou knuckledragger into replying that Texas isn't a "real" SEC school and that because the school was "founded by Klansmen," every fan of the Longhorns is a "racist." Tiger fans really are among the worst, even by SEC standards.

Kinda speaking out of both sides of his mouth there

Just don't take Blair.

For some reason, I don't think Blair wants her first job to be in the SEC as a rookie head coach, facing her dad.  Talk about trial by fire.

Before my morning meetings, I saw the score was 11-13 Tennessee.

I just got done with said meetings and check the box score to see a 40 point blowout.

Season 4 Wow GIF by The Office

And during your meeting, aggy only scored 26 more points lol

There's been a lot of "wtf" decisions on the All-SEC teams.  Shea Ralph at Vanderbilt had something to say as well.

r/NCAAW - A statement from Vanderbilt’s coach Shea Ralph regarding Khamil not receiving All-SEC honors

I think, and this is my opinion, that there's not enough slots on the All SEC teams.  With 16 teams, that's 80 starters + a lot of impactful bench players.  You had 17 spots for All SEC (9 first team, 8 second team).

Hopefully they amend it next year - i think you need 10 on a first, 10 on a second team and then 10 on an Honorable Mention.

The Big 12 had 10 on the first team, 5 on the second team, 5 on the third team and 16 honorable mentions.

I don’t think A&M goes after Blair. I think they will go after a HC. I also don’t think Blair is right for A&M for her first HC job.

I think they either keep Joni one more year or go hard after someone like Kellogg at WVU who was formerly at SFA. He has Texas ties and is pretty good. He’s a prick, sure, but so are most Aggies so he will fit right in.

So Destiney McPhaul of MSST (solid guard) hurts her leg against Mizzou. With a minute left in the game. Up by 20. One might ask why. No wonder their HC is retiring.

Mizzou coach is retiring. Not the MSST coach. Sounds like a dumbass move by Sam Purcell

My mistake on who was retiring. Agree it was stupid, whether winning or losing.

First year after Tara right?

Yep. They’ve had some bad injuries too. But also I’m sure it chaps their ass watching Betts, Emma-Nnopu and Iriafen being on top 10 teams after leaving Stanford

Color me unsurprised if Joni sticks around another year - the Coulibaly injury and they probably can't afford to fire her (her buyout is north of $1 million).  Will probably stick it out for one more year with her.

That was a bad opening round loss for Johnnie - would hate to see her go.  Losing Scott was a big loss for Auburn - I think she only played 3 games?  She averaged 22.1 ppg last year at Arkansas.  She was just in the tournament last year....

The Tenn win and getting to the SECT second round is probably saving Abe's job for another year.

r/NCAAW - Who will get canned first? 👀

SEC WBB Tournament Day 2

#9 Tenn vs. #8 Vanderbilt
10am - SECN
Winner plays #1 SoCar

#12 Georgia vs. #5 OU
12:30pm - SECN
Winner plays #4 Kentucky

#10 MSST vs. #7 Ole Miss
5pm - SECN
Winner plays #2 Texas

#11 Florida vs. #6 Alabama
7:30pm - SECN
Winner plays #3 LSU

Ole Miss and MSST were 2 of our more frustrating SEC wins (both on the road, 4 point win over MSST and 3 point win over Ole Miss).  But Vic always makes really good adjustments the second time he sees a team.

Vandy 63-48 after 3

Boston College leads #14 UNC 60-54 in the 4th.

Tenn has already dropped out of the top 16 in Creme's bracket.  UNC is hanging on by a thread.

I'll never not enjoy watching Tennessee lose. Especially when it gives us another chance to watch Blakes deal. She didn't quite lead the league in scoring, but she's simply on another level as an offensive threat.

That’d be a great fit for Aston.

I agree

We know she can coach (USTA 7-23 to 26-3 in 4 seasons) and we know she can do it at the P5 level (184-83 at Texas, with 3 Sweet 16s and an Elite Eight)

UH doesn't have the same expectations at Texas - if she made 6 tournaments in 8 seasons at UH and a trip or two to the second weekend, they'd be thrilled

And the Big 12 is a much different place than when Karen left it - Kim is gone, Sherri is gone, Fennelly is probably on his way out, Arizona/CU/Utah/BYU haven't been impactful.  She's probably get them contending within 1-2 years.

And she can recruit the Houston area - Kelsey Lang (The Woodlands), Brooke McCarty (League City), Brianna Taylor (Spring), Jordan Hosey (Pearland), Chasity Patterson (North Shore), Joanne-Allen Taylor (Cypress), Charli Coller (Mont Belviue)

UH played 5 games this season with only 6 eligible players available. They are a major rebuild project

7 players on the UTSA roster are underclassmen.  They could just go with her to Houston.

Unless she wants a “bigger” job, she should jump on that

Mizzou maybe?  Jeff Mitte (KSU) said he's not interested.  Assuming Kellie Harper doesn't want to jump back into coaching (MOState from 2013-2019)

I reffed UTSA in Aston’s first season. They were terribad.

I wouldn’t touch Missouri. Shitty state, no money. I’d take that Houston job in a heartbeat. No pressure, got that Fertitta money, easier to recruit. No brainer.

OU up 20 on Georgia, so that is about to go final

#5 OU will advance to play #4 Kentucky tomorrow.  Kentucky won their only matchup of the season, 95-86
