just wish we were more consistent at hitting these open looks

It's pretty much the difference in winning a title or falling short. Which is why I've tried to temper my expectations this year. Would love to see it turn out differently, of course.

It’s why just a FF would be a success for me.

Our D really got it done in that second quarter. Illinois being short on dynamic players obviously helps, but we were solid for 94 feet. We'll need to shoot better against Tennessee, but let's get through this one uninjured first. .

Tennessee's defense is a bit overrated, imo

Just reading this thread and catching up I thought the game was close until I went and checked ESPN then came here to finish reading, lol.

True true....I'm just griping for the need to shoot open shots and hold onto the ball better to reach the ultimate goal  .....

I noticed Abbie is back in a walking boot. She somehow gets re-injured just by simply sitting on the bench.

I don't mean to laugh but that is seemingly the truth...

She’s never going to play at Texas. Or anywhere

…yep, but they love to run and press the whole game….we just got by here in Austin….

Tenn fans travel about 260 miles, for Horn fans, it’s 900 miles….crowd advantage for Vols.   Gonna be very tough.

They didn’t turn us over very much in Austin - just 12. They made 9 or 10 threes. Unlikely to happen again, just my opinion

I was at the game this afternoon. The crowd  didn’t look like 9,000 fans but for a 1:00 Monday game it was pretty full.

Some good, open looks that weren’t knocked down looked to be some fatigue from the quick turnaround. Jak played one heck of a game. Our defense was suffocating, but when our lead in the 4th hit 24, the team seemed to let down and allowed some open 3’s from Illinois. As was mentioned by others, the final score was not indicative of the whipping Texas put on them.

If we can play defense like that for an entire 4 quarters and get some open shots to fall, we have a chance to get to the final weekend.

The more I watch OU's offensive pace and style vs. ours, the more I wring my hands over what Chavez will do tomorrow. Make me laugh about this post, girl.

OU blows out Iowa to make their first Sweet 16 in a dozen years

Bama leads Maryland 46-41 in the 3rd.  Another 4 seed having trouble at home (Kentucky and Baylor and Ohio State)

LSU leads 17-10 in the first over FSU

South Carolina, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Texas and OU have all moved to the Sweet 16 from the SEC.  Bama and LSU trying to join them, along with MSST.
