Booker reminds me of Jameis Winston at the mic.   Speaks words with enthusiasm, but doesn't say much. 😀

I mean she just got done playing 40 minutes of high intensity basketball and has adrenaline going at 100%.

You can’t glean anything from that.

Preston once again led the team in +- with +6 in 11 minutes.

You have to find a way to get her minutes.

Man she got a lot of run in the 4th. I was surprised how much she played that quarter

I'm not gleaning anything from anything.  I'm saying she reminds me of Jameis Winston.  Big smile, enthusiastic, doesn't try to pontificate or bloviate.

I don't even think this is an upset.

Jak > Moore and Carlton. The two FR in Lee and Preston are also getting more minutes now. We would have certainly beat ND with these changes. We are one of the top 3 teams in the country.

Jak 17 minutes, 4 for 4, 8 points, Zeeero turnovers. Really coming through for us.

Zero turnovers for Jak is so huge. She's really coming into her own as a player.

0-4 from 3 and only shot 66.7% from the line

Defense wins the day - 36.8% shooting, +7 on the boards

Love winning some toughness stats 🤘

She's the monster at Lubbock Monterey. By far the biggest fish in the current recruiting pond.

Texas is hard to beat at Moody. We got very lucky this schedule gave us LSU and Tenn at home and a second matchup versus SoCar at home. Even if we had to play in Norman and CS

Hell yes. I want to beat Darth Mulkey more than anything. I want nothing more than to send her home pissed off.

We got this.

LSU plays today and has a bye this week. Their next game is us next Sunday at the Moody.

Of course they get a bye before us and we have to go to Lexington to play a top 15 team

Texas did to SoCar what they did to us in Columbia - 1st half punch in the mouth. SoCar got off the mat in the 3rd and punched back, but Texas never surrendered the lead. Every time SoCar threatened to tie again or take the lead in the 4th, Texas defense made a play

What is the timeline for her to decide?

Amazing job from Lady Horns today and we about to put it on LSU.

Tap the brakes. We have to beat a top 15 Kentucky in Lexington first

Chronicle story with quotes.   Oldacre's comment is "gold".

Excerpts:

Quote

“Taylor was really good the first half, and Kyle was really good the second half,” said Schaefer, who improved his personal record against Staley to 4-14. “And that’s my two-headed monster. I just thought both of them really were spectacular today.”

Spectacular doesn’t begin to describe it.

But Staley saw three monsters on the court for Texas.

“Madison Booker was a beast on the boards,” Staley noted.

Of course, who wasn’t as the Longhorns used their size advantage over South Carolina’s four-guard lineup in the second half? Booker, who had 20 points to reach that mark for the 11th game of the season, finished with 11 boards.

“We needed to go to a small lineup because we weren’t getting anything from the bigs,” Staley said. “We had nobody able to stop (Oldacre). On both sides of the basketball. She was very active with two feet deep in the paint. She was unstoppable.”

“I’m a very physical post,” she said. “I just went at ‘em. I owned it. I know no one can stop me. I chose Texas because (Schaefer) could develop me and he did instantly. I pretty much am scratching the surface.”

“Women’s basketball is it right now,” said Staley, who has three national titles. “They’re not going to put just any women’s game on as a prelude to the Super Bowl. They knew the ratings would be there, and it was a tightly matched ballgame. I hope people are seeing our game being showcased so we’ll get the respect in all areas. In revenue-sharing and all areas.”
