I'm sad to hear this news. I was fortunate to meet him once over lunch as part of a small group discussing city planning issues related to Austin. I recall him being really engaged with the topic, asking questions, and vigorously taking notes. He seemed like an intelligent, thoughtful, and all-around genuinely nice guy.

One of my wife's cousins and Chris were close, the three of us had lunch together at Shoal Creek just a couple of years ago.  Chris was a good dude, his heart and intentions put Austin and other people first.  And he was a funny guy and good company.  The world is poorer in his absence.

. . . and he rode his bike to get there.  The dude walked the walk.  (Biked the bike.)

That he did.  One of the reasons we met for lunch there - easily bikeable distance for him.
