Doesn't hurt that these kids can act circles around most of the cast of the Acolyte.

That and the writing and motivations are so much better. The storyline is purposefully muddy. It reminds me a bit of the first season of Rebels.

It's just further proof that a show that doesn't focus on Skywalkers or Jedi can be very successful.

Not everything has to tie back to the movies and muddy cannon (Obi Wan).  And god forbid, can we go one show without wanting to dump a bunch of cameos to appease people?  Let something be original and new

There's a place for The Acolyte, just as there is a place for Skeleton Crew, Andor and Mandalorian, and a place for Ahsoka and BoBF.

James Mangold has said his movie will be 25,000 years into the past so he doesn't have to appease any current conventions of Star Wars. That's the way to go.

And sure there's a place for The Acolyte. Just don't write a shitty show that was confusing and contradicted itself for strange reasons.

I think there’s a reason they did a whole scene with Jod motor boating gold bars. He’s not a Sith. He’s not a Jedi. He’s a pirate.

He just wants the gold. He could give a shit about any other purpose.

Yeah, he ain't a Sith.  I still get "former Padawan who fell out" vibes, and him being just a greedy ass pirate now makes that feel more true.

There is no place for the Acolyte or BoBF.   BoBF's most redeeming quality was Jennifer Beals.     But I think he also a youngling/padawan survivor or part of the grey jedi?

Except it was routinely mocked because it's "too kiddy" and "not made for me"

Because SW fans don't give anything a chance without immediately crapping all over it.

It's the best thing we've gotten since Mando season 1

I'm not getting into all that. It's the same old beat the dead horse.

I enjoyed this series and think they will have a great final episode
