WiLLLLLLy Taggart looks like he's get Joey's old job at FAU

1.) WKU
2.) USF

3.) Oregon

4.) FSU

5.) FAU

All in a span of 10 years.... with the last 4 jobs all within the last 3.

That’s a lot of moving to get back to the pretty much the level you were coaching at 10 years ago (Sun Belt vs Conf USA....)

Anybody know where Baby Briles is going??

Appalachian State: App State will take the interim tag off of Shawn Clark and formally name him their full-time head coach on Friday, according to the Winston-Salem Journal. Details here.

Colorado State: Steve Addazio has signed a 5-year contract worth $1.5 million with $50,000 annual raises.

UTSA: Julian B. Griffin, who previously served in a quality control capacity at Arkansas, will coach the UTSA running backs, per source.

LSU: Ross Dellenger tweets to not rule out the NFL as an option for defensive coordinator Dave Aranda, as the NFL cycle becomes active in January.

It’s been rumored for years that Aranda was looking for an NFL DC job. Wonder if LSU wins it if this is the year Aranda gets that NFL opportunity.

I don't think the decision was Lunney's to make.  Sounds like he was asked to find other employment opportunities.

Lunney probably could’ve stayed as TE Coach. He’s always done well. But he’s been in that role through the past two staffs and I don’t think he wants to do that for life. Yet he’s not going to get handed play calling at a P5 school without vet having done so. He needs to leave and spread his wings and will get the chance to do that as Traylor’s OC.

He’s leaving on good terms and is very well thought of.

Is Pittman keeping any assistant from the Chad Morris Staff?

Just got confirmation from a bigtime Arky buddy of mine that he heard Traylor was only assistant that Pittman was considering asking to stay...

My buddy said that he heard Pittman wanted to completely wipe slate clean for Arky assistants so players would feel like the shitty past 2yrs and that staff was completely gone...

There are 3 assistants currently on the road recruiting with Pittman. WR coach Justin Stepp, DB coach Ron Cooper and DE coach Steve Caldwell. Stepp probably has the best chance to be retained but who knows until an OC and DC are hired. A lot of the WRs are tight with Stepp and he was productive recruiting and while his unit was never strong at Arkansas he showed that he could coach WR at SMU with Sutton and Quinn. If he isn’t retained, word is that he will head to USF with Jeff Scott.

Good Call @Don Johnson

Arkansas: Sources tell FootballScoop Sam Pittman has retained receivers coach Justin Stepp.

My guess would be that Kendal Briles ends up with Willie Taggart at FAU but that's simply a guess.

You would think Spav would have an amazing offense, kinda strange that they struggled, he is pretty good.

Thanks and appreciate the update -- have seen Hafley mentioned as a BC candidate.

Sports Illustrated reported Elko as a good candidate for BC... and fun to Fuck with Aggys by listing Elko maybe going to BC.  😂

Not sure what's gonna end up happening at BC though...

Allegedly Lindgren turned down the Arizona St OC job because Arizona St wasn't willing to allow Lindgren to bring his own OL coach.

Arizona St has former A&M coach Dave Christensen as their OL coach and NFL HOF Kevin Mawae as his top assistant.

Virginia Tech: Justin Fuente has added Tracy Claeys as linebackers coach and Darryl Tapp as a defensive assistant to the full time staff. For Claeys, this is a reunion with long-time boss Jerry Kill who is serves as special assistant to Fuente on the staff. Claeys most recently served as defensive coordinator for Mike Leach at Washington State. Following a lengthy NFL career, Tapp has served as a quality control at both Vanderbilt (this past season) and Central Michigan (2018).

Cousin Oliver College would have to admit 100 more tuition paying students to break even on Elko's buyout.  A&M is using the LA Lakers model for buying a program.

Arkansas: Defensive coordinator Barry Odom is set to make $1.2 million according to the Arkansas Democrat Gazette. The Razorbacks have made his addition to the staff official today.

Ohio State: Ryan Day shared today with local media that he would be “very, very surprised” if Buckeye linebackers coach Al Washington left for Boston College to join Jeff Hafley’s staff as defensive coordinator. Washington played defensive end at BC, and spend five seasons on staff there as well.

Arkansas: Georgia quality control assistant Patrick Doherty, who had been with the Bulldogs since 2016, is expected to join the Razorbacks staff according to NWAOnline. The report adds that defensive backs coach Mark Smith, director of operations Randy Ross and assistant director of football operations SJ Tuohy will not be retained.

Memphis: Ryan Silverfield noted during his media availability yesterday that he does not plan to make any staff changes before their bowl game and that he plans to continue to work with the offensive line in addition to his head coaching duties leading up to the game. The Tigers face Penn State in the Cotton Bowl on December 28th.

South Florida: Jeff Scott is not expected to retain any of Charlie Strong’s staff members, Joey Knight tweets.

Notre Dame: Following the departure of offensive coordinator Chip Long from the program, running backs coach Lance Taylor will take charge of the ground game while quarterbacks coach Tommy Rees has assumed responsibility for the passing game for their bowl game against Iowa State, per Irish Sports Daily. Kelly adds in the article that his search for the best fit to replace long will continue with internal and external candidates and that he has no plans to call offensive plays.
