Let the degeneracy begin.

Howard and Rutgers get us rolling at 5pm on the B1G Network.

Four ranked teams play tonight - none of them having a particularly interesting matchup. Kansas plays something called Lindenwood.*

A handful of matchups feature a tight spread - none of them particularly compelling. Lafayette is getting 3.5 @Buffalo. ULM is favored by 5.5 at home against Jackson State. Coastal Carolina is getting 3.5 @ Jacksonville State.

Year 2 of Deion kicks off against routinely spicy North Dakota State in Boulder - 7pm on ESPN. The Buffs are favored by a conservative 11.

UNC and Minnesota headline at 7pm on FOX - Golden Gophers are getting 2 points at home.

I looked it up.  It's a two-year vocational college for bakers.

It wasn't a coed institution until 1983. It was an all-women's college until 1969.

And I did not make up either of those.

Odd that a national power doesn’t take over this Week 1 Thursday slot.  People are starved for football and the entire nation would be watching a blue blood game.  Playing cannon fodder on Thursday would be also be an advantage for Week 2.

OU grabbed it on Friday. ESPN really wanted this one for Thursday.

Yeah Friday we get OU and what may be a very mediocre Wisky team - and then TCU @ Tree for the night cap.

Granted Mizzou and Utah are technically the highest rated teams playing either night.

Don’t even know if UNC/UMinn will even play, Minneapolis is supposed to get nailed with thunderstorms tonight right at kick. They’re at some elevated risk for severe weather

So much that Reed timmer is in the state

Per Google, looks like the rain should finish up around 7ish. Hopefully doesn't delay kick too much.

This the official game(s) thread?

It can be. We probably don't need individual threads.

Week 1 thread may be better served for discussing Saturday's matchups.

Big 12 newcomer Golden Knights vs IDK who they are

I went to a swim meet the UNH women were at. Life of the party group, 10/10 vibes.

Otherwise, they're in Durham, New Hampshire outside of Portsmouth and were a originally a kind of land-grant JuCo wing of Dartmouth.

That's all I know.

They really knead this win for the program.

Glad I didn't have to sift through the channels to discover this game.

If CU has another 4 or even 5 win season does the media stop caring about the Coach Prime effect? Will that happen anyway once Shedeur and Hunter are gone?

Even money he quits after this year when his kid and Hunter are gone to the nfl

Colorado’s uniforms suck.

Also, when an announcer, like this guy tonight just did, talks about Yards After The Catch, and says “YAC” and then goes on to say, “yards after the catch” perhaps it’s time to not say, “YAC”.
