2024 Random Games thread

This was before last year’s game in Morganhole. I give this kid credit for venturing through the different level’s of Dante’s Inferno.

Didn’t hear much out of the Hoopies yesterday. There were way fewer of them in town and at the game than are normally here. Thankfully, I didn’t see any incidents between fans.

That was just a great Backyard Brawl. And I am not saying that because we won. That was just fun and maddening at the same time. Both fan bases can find some good and a lot of bad to take away from the game. For the life of me I just don’t understand why WVU chooses to rely on Greene and not Donaldson and White. I really like Donaldson. I liked the WVU helmets. One of my buddies wore that helmet when he played at WVU in the 1970s. The game rarely disappoints, like last year’s abortion of a game. For the most part, from what I saw, people were well-behaved, even after the game. Which is good.

I should be at our game at UNC Oct. 5. It’s possible that I might not make it because there may be a memorial for a dear friend from my childhood who died the end of August. My brother and I have talked about it and were are not so much into celebrating after death since we were very present during his life and don’t want to take part of those Facebook-type pissing contests of “I miss him more than you”, Yada yada.

The bolded is certainly a plus, some of the stuff that was going on back in the Big East days when I was there was beyond ugly.

I'll have to see about the 5th though at the least I should be able to make it over the night before.

Lulz, 2nd flag on Cal for fans throwing shit on the field.  Wilcox just got on the mic telling them to stop.

The Pac had rules against placing the visitors next to the students. The ACC does not.

I'll know the university is taking football seriously if the students are coached into turning this into home field advantage instead of just moving the away team, which I fully expect.

So I can’t get over stoops being a total weenie last night. What’s the mind set? Most know UKs season is 98.5% meaningless. Needing to complete a 4th and 8 isn’t anything astronomical to have a chance at knocking off #1. They have @ ole miss, @ Tennessee and @ Texas still.

Did stoops think they’d Run the gauntlet to a playoff spot if he “trusted his defense” to get the ball back? Before half he had 9 seconds to run a play in the end zone to see if he gets a TD and tucked his dick in and opted for a FG. Complete incompetence. I bet most paying UK fans just wanted to see a competitive game and maybe a 1 score game at the half. To have a chance for a lead with Needing just a FG and opting to punt should be fireable with cause

Question.  Does anyone know how the flex schedule is handled in the SEC?  Specifically, I'm asking about games on October 5th.  There are three games scheduled that are currently assigned as flex games:

Tenn at Ark

Auburn at GA

Ole Miss at South Carolina

I'm assuming one would be an 11AM game, one 2:30, one night.  Any educated guesses as to where the TN/Ark game might fall?  I'm driving to Fayetteville for the game and trying to plan.
