what is Indiana's SOS now?

The Hoosiers will climb in the computer rankings while Penn St drops.

Same logic, ND could drop after winning by 7.

Edit: that would be an expected to read joke  on Surly; SEC contract requires Texas and A&M to pool records.

Who the hell goes to the SEC Championship game if aggy loses and Bama wins tonight?  That'd leave GA, TX, aggy, Bama, and TN with 2 losses.

/if we slip up next week with a hobbled QB.

Bama/GA based on conf opp winning %

If aggy hangs on to lose tonight, then I think we're in the playoff no matter what happens next weekend. Even if we "shudder" lost to aggy, we'd still be in with 2 losses after aggy and Ole Miss picked up loss number 3 today.

Yep.  That'd leave 4 teams with 2, or fewer, losses.  Plus, the SEC Championship game loser would have 3.  I'm not sure how the committee feels about punishing a team making the championship game and losing, but it'd be TX, TN, and the winner with 2 losses; everyone else with 3+.

Sankey has already been politicking that champ game losers shouldn't be punished.

This playoff is going to be wild. There are no teams without major warts. This year's national champion is going to be the team that gets hot in December and January.

Cool.  Again, if TX slips up, then the two SEC Championship game players plus TN and TX.  Almost everything I've seen nationally has the SEC with 4 teams.

SEC could play their way down to 3. Bama, Tenn, and Georgia could all lose again

The media is starting to talk about how awful the big 10 is outside of the top 4.  The lack of a single win by the rest of the conference against the top 4 is such an indictment of the lack of depth as opposed to an affirmation of the quality of the top.

Yeah the espn machine is pushing for its own self interests and we know how that works out for the SEC.

the other networks are trying to push back.

I’m pretty sure it’s UGA Bama if we lose to aggy

Well if A&M loses and OU wins, I think it’s double for sure.
