And you think that's easier than literally getting a free win and then playing another game against anyone seeded lower?

It’s mind bottling how anyone that watched Vandy, Kentucky, Kansas, Syracuse all knock off top teams in their conference, watch 6-6 OU hold bama to 3 points, notre dame lose to northern Illinois, Ohio state lose as a 20 point favorite, would rather play an extra elimination game against a top 15 team.

So that was probably the best outcome for Texas. We now get a much easier first and second round game, had we won, we woudlve likely faced UGA again or OSU.

We are very likely to face the 12 seed at home, followed by the 4 seed. The opponents will be two of these three teams (Clemson, Boise St, AZ State). That will allow us to build momentum before facing Oregon. If we beat Oregon, we arent losing to UGA for a third time or whoever comes out of the other side of the bracket.

Absolutely not, and the overtime loss just guaranteed we wont.

So we get the 5/6 seed, right? Georgia will get knocked out by anyone not named Texas.

We will beat UGA if we play them in the title game. We dominated that game and it was basically a home game for them. Attrition is going to destroy that team by the time they get to the championship.

So we get ASU at home then Boise based on the Kford chart

Clemson at home, then Az St/Boise imo

God that would be great. But 1) we need intelligent refs, 2) Quinn actually hits his targets and look for more than his 1 read, and 3) We have to stop with the Cam "Mr Penalty" Williams.

It's like Sark doesn't learn from his mistakes. It's maddening..why use Arch to score against aggy, but a useless one against UGA? We legit probably could have scored with Arch.

This isn't an Arch/Quinn controversy, it's a reality. They didn't prepare for Arch so we had the upper hand. Just fucking retarded.

We've scored three TDs in eight quarters against them lmao. Where exactly are the points for this victory going to come from?

Anyone else that has a running QB.

Why would Clemson be the 11 seed? Lol. They will be behind Bama. Texas will be the 5 and Bama will be the 11.

They're going to get CCG winning bump from committee. Notre Dame if current results hold is 100% getting 5 seed

You are very confident about being very wrong. Clemson lost to two common opponents that Bama beat (UGA and South carolina) and played in a weaker conference. They arent gonna move ahead of them.

ND will NOT be ahead of Texas who lost in OT and has both losses to the #2 team in the country, while ND has SOS in the 70s and a loss to NIU. Fuck outta here.

My predicitons have perfectly matched committee 3 weeks in a row....Only thing I'm unsure about is how they view Clemson as a CCG and if ASU will leap frog Boise for the 3 seed.

Either way Boise/ASU is 3/4 and it's either Clemson or Indiana we face in Austin I think.

We drop to the 6 seed, get matched up against 11th-seeded Alabama in the first round...

...and probably lose. [ducks]

Highly unlikely. They will manipulate the bracket to put Bama against someone other than us. I strongly believe we will be the 5 seed but in the event we are not, it is very unlikely they match us with them.

Alabama might not make it if SMU can manage to make their loss competitive in the second half. ESPN push moved in SMU's favor today.

I still think SMU should and does drop behind them but the political winds have changed and the committee lies if they say they don't pay attention.

They manipulate to avoid rematches, but we didn't play Bama this year. And Texas-Alabama is an irresistibly MASSIVE market draw.

I think we get the 5 because Georgia gets the 2 so we can be opposite sides of the bracket.  that said they could just say fuck it and give us the 6 so we don't meet until the Semi's and they can fuck around and match us with Bama for a)max eyeballs and b)eliminate one SEC team.

really Tenn and Bama should meet if you are trying to eliminate an SEC team.

Yeah, but the people have already seen us play them twice in 3 years. Not saying it won't happen, but I would think a different draw for Texas to play a team they haven't would be better for viewing.

If SMU and Pedo State continue getting blown out I think Texas will be either the 5 seed or the 6.  Seems like probably 5, since ND shouldn’t be rewarded for not playing and Texas went to OT.

Fingers crossed. SMU is getting boatraced

In no world should Texas or Penn State fall behind Notre Dame, who didn't qualify for any championship game since they don't play in a conference, lost to Northern Illinois, and both only lost to playoff teams. The top 2 conference losers shouldn't be heavily penalized for losing in an extra game that others either didn't have to play or didn't qualify for.

This is how I have it if Clemson/Oregon win:

Indiana/Clemson may be flipped depending on how much they can win by.

Sir, Clemson would like to play ND and possibly ASU. Please adjust your bracket

Wrong lol, terrible take. No chance PSU is in front of us. Like 0

We have the same record and a close loss to the number 1 team in the country will absolutely give the clowns that seed some though to seed them higher especially seeing as our offense has sucked shit lately

Hasnt the committee already stated that a non conference championship team won’t benefit from the results of a championship game?

I’m sure we can take them for their word. It’s not like they change their position constantly.
