Carpetbagging weasel faced smarmy little bitch, Ted Cruz

Recommended Posts

That stinks for her.  Her and her sister are in an impossible spot.  Even people that support her dad's politics know he's a complete douchebag and the mom is a basketcase.  Even though she should be insulated from that shit at summer camp, some little thing could set her off and cause her to act out.  10-15 years from now, people won't think/talk much about Cruz, but the girls will be grown then.  His most asshole-ish phase came right during their formative years, just awful for them.

Bongos’ daughter goes there too. Very high falutin but not like a GOP starter camp. I feel sorry for the Cruz daughters, like Lobo, and it’s really not because of their Dad (no I’ve never voted for him and do not like him) but because of their Mom.

Sucks for those girls. They didn’t ask for shitty parents.

I'd never heard of it, so I went to the website.  Watched the splash video.  Looks like a fun place, better than most of the summer camps I've ever seen.

The place looks like the Four Seasons compared to where my kids went down the road (Mo-Ranch).

I refuse to accept the fact that I have a moral code and am not a criminal makes me a “pussy.” I consider myself an independent and I wish the Democrats did better but they more closely represent my values than the Republicans whom I think are thoroughly corrupt. I could probably make good money if I sold out and started campaigning for Trumpism. I’d rather die.

How does one fuckwit in the minority party manage to hold up nominees?

By denying unanimous consent to move forward.  They are going to force Schumer to schedule cloture votes and debate to move forward, versus just allowing nominees to go straight to floor votes.   Plus the Senate is in recess until next week.

From the article:

Quote

An individual senator can’t permanently block a nominee, but can use Senate rules to force procedural steps that are often skipped for less controversial picks. That can delay confirmation of those nominees indefinitely given the many priorities competing for valuable, limited time on the Senate floor.

Actually they did this often.  You can only delay it, but you can't block them permanently due to the weakening of the filibuster for executive branch nominations.   Republicans did it to Obama, Democrats did it to Trump, Republicans are doing it to Biden.

Pretending it's because Dems are pussies is a false narrative.  Stop spreading it.

Quote

Here is what is happening: Democrats are requiring that Republicans check all the procedural boxes on most nominees, even those they intend to eventually support. That requires the Senate majority leader, Mitch McConnell, Republican of Kentucky, to request a formal “cloture” vote to move forward.

An “intervening day” is then required to allow the cloture request to “ripen.” Next is a vote to impose cloture followed by 30 hours of “post-cloture” debate before a final vote. Democrats have refused to shorten the debate time — to “yield back,” in the parlance of the Senate — though in most cases there is little to debate.

Democrats seem to try to stick with traditions and decorum. It's the right that has gone full partisan and treating political power like a fucking game as if it doesn't affect 300 million people. The democrats are soon going to have no choice but to respond in kind, and we're all going to be worse off. It will always be recorded though that the right started it when the books are written about the USAs downfall.

Again, the Democrats are having done to them exactly what they did to Trump during his first term - slow play the nominees through procedural bullshit.  The Senate minority cannot stop these nominees - you can thank (or blame) Harry Reid blowing up the filibuster for exec branch nominees for that.

What Reid did was a response to Republican obstructionism. The Republicans are the problem.

yeah, but Ted's bullshit stops, for the most part, at the Texas border. Dotard's reach was world-wide. Therefore he's the bigger threat, despite intelligence or intention

It’s true. But back then the Democrats were the ones waving the Confederate flag. They were the right-wing racist party. Then LBJ passed the Civil Rights Act in 1964 and the parties traded places. Now the Republicans are the right-wing racist party and the ones waving the Confederate flag. You’re not the party of Lincoln anymore and you fucking know it.

He’d be different if Trump hadn’t won. Most Republicans would be. But they figure Trumpism is how it is now so they adapt and try to imitate him. They’re spineless jellyfish with no actual standards, values, or fixed principles of any kind other than appeasing the special interests that pay to keep them in power.

Yes, but Piece of Shit Cruz has aspirations of holding a position where his reach will be word wide.  I would think that most of his party knows he's an all-hat-and-no-cattle pussy, but 2016 taught me not to bet against the Republican Party nominating any dipshit.

17,000,000 registered voters in Texas.

8,371,655 voted in 2018. (so half voted)

....Ted won by 215,000 votes.

hmmm, why is it that Texas is trying to enact laws that make voting harder for some? You would think in a democracy, the unpopular wouldn't routinely get elected and re-elected. Do we need to stop calling it the popular vote?

I don’t know. I know a guy from Upper Arlington, OH who voted for Cruz in the Republican primary instead of John Kasich. I couldn’t get my mom, who still lives in Indiana, to say who she favored but my guess was that it was probably Cruz.

Ted Cruz somehow thinks he can be president which is absolutely ridiculous. He’s battling Lindsey Graham for who is the biggest cuck cocksucker of Trump’s micro dick and at least ladybugs has the excuse that he’s gay.

Even hardcore trumplicans hate Ted Cruz but he’s apparently unaware of that fact. Or just doesn’t care because he’s a psychopath.

His own family hates him. He will die alone.
