I was confused for a bit that he didn't show up high in the cast list, figured, correctly, that he must be eliminated early.  As soon as I saw em fucking around that pumpjack/wellhead, well  . . . .

Pena is funny as hell. I wish HBO, FX/Hulu, or Netflix would build a comedy series around him.

Pena is and always has been a chameleon

love him in almost everything he does. Incredibly funny in Ant Man movies

He was great in the criminally underrated War on Everyone

Terry Monroe: Hey Bob, what's the plan for finding Reggie? It's going to be tough tracking him down without anything to go on. Isn't it?

Bob Bolaño: Well, he's black. How many fucking black people do you think there are in Iceland? We'll just stand around here and keep our eyes open.

Terry Monroe: That's not much of a plan, Bob. You don't think we should...

Bob Bolaño: There he is.

This is a highly entertaining show but while Taylor Sheridan is a decent writer, he is not a good storyteller.  Take this show.  What is the plot?  What is the story arc?  I don't know.  Funny and visually entertaining show, though.

While at the bar, I caught the 6666 neon sign.  They should have cross over shows within his universe.  The guys from 6666 should hang out at The Patch.  BBT should go to Tulsa to get some weed.

Maybe I’m missing something, but the 6666 ranch is owned by Taylor’s financial group.

They are about 500 miles apart.

Not the first time but they have been bigger stretches in the Taylor Sheridan universe.  They could also buy weed from Tulsa King.

It'll be hard to make the horse stop quick when you're high.

Spoiler

I was very surprised to see him in such a small role and even more surprised when the accident happened. He's a really big actor to kill off in the first episode.

I'm enjoying this dumb show, and Ali Later ... I said GOT-DAMN!

I think this kind of nails Sheridan.  Granted, I haven't watched any of the other series, but the Sicarios had great scenes, but ultimately kind of a disappointing overall story.  Wind River and especially Hell or High Water are much better overall stories.

As prolific as Sheridan is, this semi-cameo was probably just the prelude of much larger role in one of Sheridan’s future series.

CSB incoming. My youngest son was one of the costume supervisors on this show, and got to shepherd BBT around greater Jacksboro for a couple of days. They commandeered the local hospital for a shoot, and Hunter and BBT were standing by the door to the emergency room when a woman in labor happened in. Billy Bob opened the door for her, tipped his hat, and said "Ma'am".  Holding her gravid belly with both hands, she looked at my boy with a quizzical expression.  He just shook his head and said "No one will ever believe you".

Interesting. The Midland Hospital is pretty large and new. I knew the hospital scenes had to be filmed somewhere else.’

Jacksboro has one of the best burgers around at the Kwik Stop.

You were so close to being right. The correct answer is Herd's.

Not even close. If you want to eat a tiny school cafeteria burger while you sit at a school desk then by all means go to Herd's. But if you want a really good burger Kwik Stop is the only choice in the area.

I mentally check out when the show gets discussed at work. Good show, not realistic is more worn out than South Austin’s mom.

My mom, a longtime nurse, asked me if my job is like the show. I had a good laugh. If a spreadsheet could kill me, I might be in danger.

Why not the Green Frog Cafe...😁

Green Frog was never that good, great value but mediocre food. Then Brandy bought it,  took out the buffet and it wasn't even a good value. Haven't tried the newest iteration but doubt it's great.

All the whites only drink Michelob Ultra. The Mexican Americans only drink Modelo Negra.
I’ll vouch for Michelobs, but the Negras I can’t speak to.

Also, please for the love of the God, Nate go rent yourself an office.

I can vouch for modelos.

Especials for cowboy games and kids birthday parties, also quinces…
Negros for the rest of the time.

Tecate used to be the choice.
