All this emphasis on making the jury has to be a financial motivation.  Do they get paid a bonus to be on the jury?  Is the resort life that good for a few days?  Lot of crying but then again, these younger folks tend to cry over all kinds of shit.

I’m sure financial plays a part but think narcissism is the main driver as it is with most this generation.0

I can't find anything on the financial incentive of making the jury.  I do believe I saw that the payouts step up each time.  Perhaps there's, say, a $10 jump from the last one out to the first one in on the jury???  It could also just be that you've spend a couple of weeks suffering, playing, and getting to know people.  You might really want to have a hand in selecting the ultimate winner.

took out one of the major players last night.  their other choices were excellent also - sam or the rachel.   andy is one of the most interesting players in a while.  not sure what to make of him.  he was so in his own head he walked by 10-20 bamboo tubes without seeing them.  to be aware enough to know he was being used by sierra and sam was wise though.

From my sofa, Sierra had very little power after the merge, but it's always a good idea to break up couples.

my bottom four - little to no shot:  andy, teeny, sue, gabe.

Sue is far and away the weakest player thus far, and the only one I can't see winning it all.  She is a good bet to make the final 3 for that reason.  Andy is a hard read because of his personality, but he is playing, and I hope he keeps his demons at bay so it continues.  Gabe is someone who needs to make some things happen, but I need convincing that he is capable of doing that.  Teeny is not in my bottom four, but if she belongs there, it's only because this is the deepest season of strong players that I have ever seen.

For me, Rachel, Caroline, and Genevieve are at the top, with Sol and Teeny not far behind.  My worry for Sol is that he clearly has a thing for Rachel, and it may impact his game.

Kyle is a challenge whore, but it's not clear whether he has a social game.  We likely won't have the chance to find out, as he is probably gone if he ever loses an immunity challenge.  In that scenario, he could end up being a swing vote for someone in an "anything to stay in the game" type of deal.

Sam is an unknown quantity at this point.  Does he have any game without Sierra calling the shots?  Time will tell.  I would love to see Andy use him as a number until it no longer suits him.

Meant to type $10k.

Just caught up.  Sorry to see a hottie go.  Kind of pulling for Rachel at this point.  Where the hell did they find a hillbilly (Kyle) vegan?

Solid episode.  Rachel is on a hot streak right now.  Sol saves her, cheeseburger in the auction and gets an immunity idol to boot.  Nice work, girl keep it up.

she came very close to winning immunity in the challenge too. still too much of a target on her back though.  for some reason they others seemed to be threatened by them.

Damn them for getting rid of the best eye candy.

Rooting for Kyle to win the whole thing.

kyle seems like a good dude, so would love this, but nice guys dont usually win this.  kind of reminds me of hunter from last season.   i'm betting on genevieve although she might be strategizing a little too hard.  maybe take a backseat and let someone else orchestrate the next few votes.

I like Caroline to take out Genevieve at some point, but we'll see if they both are still in the game after Rachel uses her idol.

Sad to see Sol go. Seemingly one of the most chill human beings ever cast on the show.

To me, there are two clear season-long narratives being hammered:
1) Genevieve pulling the strings behind the scenes
2) The Andy transformation

Obviously a lot can change between now and the end (don’t think I would have picked Kenzie as the winner at this point a season ago) but as of now, these are the two plot points that I’ll be monitoring for a potential winner.

I think Genevieve needs Kyle's vote a bit longer before she will feel in control.  Of course, with this group of players, she will never truly be in control.  Her target is getting quite large.  I think both Caroline and Rachel are content to hide behind her for now, but it should be fun when she comes for one of them.

What surprised me the most was that the vote was unanimous.  Were Teeny and Sam acting, or were they convinced to change votes at tribal?  That answer impacts how I feel about their gameplay.  If Sam was truly pitching Sue as some big game changing move, then he is exactly who I thought he was.

Would anything have been different if Sol had sat with his peeps at tribal instead of being isolated at the opposite end?

I'm really enjoying this season.
