Slowik and Demeco deserve a lot of shit for losing this game. Inexcusable to lose a game when you force 5 turnovers

That was a Houston Oilers playoff performance loss right there. 5 ints and still take the L

10 points off 5 turnovers is pretty bad

It takes a special kind of incompetence to get 5 turnovers and only score 23 points. At home.

Everybody is harping on the 5 INTs, more so that choking a 23-7 halftime lead at home. Y'all know damn well one of those INTs was on the hail mary at halftime. Yelling about 5 INTs makes it sound more embarrassing but is disingenuous.

Missing key players on both sides of the ball. Defense played pretty good (would've been nice for Stingley to bring in that INT). Slowik's play calling has mostly sucked this year. There is no creativity in the running game of counter movement by runners or blockers, and when they keep running shit plays you want to believe he's setting the opponent up to drop a variant for a big play. Nope, you just get more of the shit calls. CJ needs to check to second and third reads quicker. He stays on primary and misses with #2 pops open sometimes, and he's taking too many sacks.

Okay, 10 points off 4 INTs and zero points in the second half. Happy now?

INT followed by an 8 play, 33 yard, TD drive
INT, followed by an 8 play, 25 yard, FG drive
INT, end of half (doesn't count)
INT, followed by 3 plays, 1 yard, punt
INT, 6 plays, 6 yards, punt

4 INTs that led to a Texans' drive - 25 plays, 65 yards, 1 TD, 1 FG, 2 punts off those 4 INTs

....82 second half yards with 2 INTs and a missed FG.

We sustained 1 long field possession all game (6 plays, 66 yards, TD in 42 seconds at the end of the 1st half).  Our other scoring drives were 33 yards (TD), 41 yards (FG), 32 yards (FG), 25 yards (FG)

I am not a football expert by any means, but feel like there's an important conclusion to be drawn that our only good drive was the only time we didn't attempt to utilize the pathetic run game.

I mean its pretty simple... our top two WRs are out/have been out and our interior OL is the worst in the league (maybe slightly better without the aggie).

Stroud is getting pressured so much, and often from the inside (the worst kind) he has become "gun shy." When he has time, many of the receivers can't create separation, so he is throwing low percentage passes or eating sacks.  All of that adds up, and equates to him missing some of the opportunities that he should hit (sometimes soul crushingly bad - like last night)

The interior OL can't pass block or run block (which mitigates some use of our current best offensive player in Mixon) and we have a #3 WR trying to be a #1 and a bunch of JAGs.

When Nico returns he will help all facets as he is an actual playmaker at WR, which will equate to more opportunities in the run game, which should help the protection.... and so on.

Green should have been replaced much sooner in the season, and we got hit by bad luck with Diggs and Nico going down.

Texans OL coach should've been fired weeks ago. Regression across the board, must be leading the league in OL penalties, can't run block or pass protect. Now you get a guy stripping the ball from his own QB. I laughed out loud at the stupidity.

All this for an OL with 1st/2nd rounders all over and tons of money invested in it

Nate Tice went on a rant about Stroud..

paraphrased- "He can lead his team on a drive with no run game where he makes five hero ball throws with pressure all around him and then end the drive with a bad throw while half the time he's getting hit and the fans/media will ask "what's wrong with CJ Stroud? has he regressed?""
