Nick never seems to get value in his trades. The trade back with Philadelphia a couple years ago got almost nothing, and this one kind of sucks. Then he overpaid to Arizona for #3 (Will Anderson is a bad ass, but Nick got played on the trade capital).

That’s just wrong, According to the charts, it’s a win.

Caserio gambled and lost. He thought Golden would be there.

He gambled that Golden would be available. They need a number two in the worst way. After Collins the others are really threes since Tank is gone

Not moving up to get Golden I guess.

The Texans at least aren’t in danger of totally fucking this up now that they got a couple extra picks. Need to rebuild OL and DL but a WR is also a huge need

Now with so many 2 and 3 rd picks there’s a good chance these will hit

The Falcons trade is interesting in comparison to ours, but it's hard to speculate on how valuable that 2026 1st will be right now. Moving up 20 spots to the late 1st is costly though.

Falcons get: 🏈2025 1st-round pick (No. 26) 🏈2025 3rd-round pick (No. 90)
Rams get: 🏈2025 2nd-round pick (No. 46) 🏈2026 1st-round pick 🏈2025 7th-round pick (No. 218)

The Texans probably have a few guys they still want, and didn't want to drop back to 46 in this draft.

The gamble was not trading up a few spots when you knew Chargers, Packers, and Vikings would all be interested in Golden. We have Nico and a one legged Tank at WR, and based on these trades (except drunk ATL), it might have cost them a 3rd rounder to get him. They waited and both Golden and OSU OG got snatched.

And it wasn’t crazy talk on the Anderson trade. He is amazing and he was “worth it”, but they could’ve got #3 for less than #12, #33, and 2024 first round pick. It was documented after the fact that AZ just asked for one of those extras at the last minute as a bluff and Nick and Demeco caved.

Did the Falcons not call Nick? Did the Giants lowball Nick after hearing the Rams’ price first? #46 and a first rounder > #34 and two third rounders (one of which is practically a fourth).

Or they equally like Conerly and decided to drop back for the same reason…

About to say that, and then Washington took him. Now every team now through #34 know we want Simmons and will draft/trade up accordingly.

Alternate theory, they want Simmons and they think they can get at 34. So of course the Titans will select him at 33.

The Titans trading up to 33 from 35 to get him?

Or it’s all a bluff and we’re taking Shadeur…

Oh ye of little faith. If we stuck at 25 and reached, y’all would have also bitched. And can you not remember last year when we also traded out of the 1st round? How did that work out?

Simmons or Burden at 34 will be good.

Burden apparently has many red flags related to giving up or quitting on plays/games and not a good teammate.

The Texans now have 5 picks on Day 2 of the NFL Draft:

Round 2: No. 34 overall
Round 2: No. 58 overall
Round 3: No. 79 overall
Round 3: No. 89 overall
Round 3: No. 99 overall

Total panic trade back.  Just take Simmons at 25 and move on. Trading back is stupid if there’s a good option available at a position of need. More picks doesn’t always mean better.

Maybe they didn’t feel like a dude coming off a knee injury was a ‘good option’ at 25….

Now Minnesota’s Ersery (rated #46 by ESPN) is the best OT on the board. Houston is going to end up with some D and F grades in the (meaningless) post-draft report cards.

That, and he didn't test

After listening to Mike Tice talk OL, I have no interest in him (or savanaiaia) in the 2nd round

Of course, he also had conerly as his #1 OL

I guess I am just confused why we did this pre-draft trade. The idea was to move up in rounds 2-3 with those 6th round picks. Now that we have 2 additional picks in that range, maybe Nick wants to target specific guys in this range? Idk, I know we need a lot, but it seems like we missed on the guys we wanted in the first and Nick bailed so we can regroup tomorrow.

Who? Cleveland has #33 and 36 if they want him. Tennessee won’t take him at 35. Raiders (#37) and Saints (#40) are the other candidates, but I don’t think Saints want him. Maybe Raiders trade up IF Cleveland lives dangerously and takes someone else at #33 but planned to grab him at #36? Doesn’t seem likely but the Browns and Raiders are both dumb.
